There are very few marriages that have survived on the show, however many have perished. Here are five examples of the stars marriages that went wrong.
1. Malaysia and Jannero
After 10 years of marriage, Malaysia Pargo’s husband Jannero Pargo filed for divorce. On the show she made it clear that she did not want her marriage to end, but when the dust settled she pocketed millions in moving on. The couple share three children, a son and boy and girl twins.
2. Evelyn and Chad
When feisty and often combative Evelyn Lozada became swept up in a relationship with flamboyant and flirty NFL wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson in 2010 we all should have known there would be trouble. Less than 30 days into their marriage the two were involved in a heated verbal altercation over Chad’s alleged cheating. The incident would end with Evelyn’s husband of three weeks head-butting her, leaving a laceration that required six stitches. They were only married for 41 days when the divorce was finalized in 2012.
3. Jennifer and Eric
Jennifer Williams was married to former NBA player Eric Williams for ten years. Fans watched the estranged couple go through the motions until things came to a screeching stop. In 2011 Jennifer was stunned when Eric threw a drink in her face. Soon afterward she filed for divorce and has been living a seemingly happy sometimes-single life ever since.
4. Khameeka and Speedy Claxton
Khameeka Claxton is famously remembered for allegedly being punched by Tami Roman while on a cast trip to Europe in 2011. “Meeka,” as most know her by, was married to former NBA point guard Speedy Claxton for more than 16 years when the couple went through a three-year-long divorce process; during that time there were DUIs, foreclosures, and near-knockout court battles for alimony before the two were recognized as single in New York.
5. Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes
Gloria Govan and the former Los Angeles Lakers bad boy Matt Barnes were together for nearly 10 years, but only married for two when things fell apart. Accusations of domestic abuse, unfit parenting, and cheating allegations lead to the couple’s 2013 split. Their divorce was finalized in 2016; Gloria went on to build a life with another Lakers veteran, Derek Fisher, while Matt began a relationship with Anansa Sims, daughter of supermodel Beverly Jonhson, and welcomed a son in April 2018.
