5 Explosive Fights in the History of Reality Television

Love it or hate it, reality television has made an unforgettable mark on pop culture. One can contribute its longevity to the shocking and over-the-top story lines that sometimes see’s cast mates come to blows. Here is a recap of the five most explosive fights in the history of reality television.

Joseline Hernandez Fights Entire “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” Cast During Season 3 Reunion Special

Former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Joseline Hernandez engaged into a heated fight with a list of her cast mates. She and former fiancé Stevie J. came to blows with former “LHHATL” co-stars Raymond “Benzino” Scott and his ex-fiancée Althea Heart after Scott accused the pair of doing drugs. After being escorted backstage, the self-proclaimed “Puerto Rican Princess” then attacked Stevie J.’s ex-girlfriend Mimi Faust as they were walking down the hall in opposite directions, and her madness surely didn’t stop there.

Hernandez also assaulted “Marriage Boot Camp” star Tammy Rivera during the reunion special due to an argument they’d had earlier during the season. The former stripper was said to allegedly be on drugs at the time of her ambush, but no legal charges from VH1 or “LHHATL’s” production crew were taken against her.

“Black Ink Crew: Chicago” Stars Brawl Out In Jamaica

Season four of “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” was quite a whirlwind. Tension between the new 9 MAG crew at the time and ‘Loyal Ink’ which was formed by Ryan Henry‘s former 9MAG employees to seemingly get back at him, finally brewed after the two tattoo shops came face to face in Jamaica.

While visiting cast member Phor Brumfield in the Caribbean country, 9MAG Tattoo artist Junior Diaz initiated a fight with Loyal Ink by pouring beer into the street and yelling, “That’s ‘Loyal Ink’ right there.” Moments later all chaos broke loose after Diaz’s ex-girlfriend and Loyal Ink employee Lily Barrios attacked the tattoo artist’s current girlfriend at the time. People also claimed that Diaz hit one of 9MAG’s female staffers at the time which caused an even bigger commotion between Diaz and his co-star Don Brumfield.

VH1 security eventually intervened, and Diaz was escorted off the premises. No criminal charges were filed, but the tattoo artist was allegedly prevented from further filming the rest of the season.

Flavor of Love: Pumpkin Spits in Tiffany “New York” Pollard’s Face

The fight between “Flavor of Love” stars Brooke “Pumkin” Thompson and Tiffany “New York” Pollard goes down as one of the most historic moments in reality television. While 20 women lined up to win the heart of Public Enemy star Flavor Flav, it came down to only three after a process of eliminations.

During one fiery episode of the 2007 VH1 series, Pumkin was eliminated and given the boot while Flav proudly handed New York her clock. Seemingly coming off as a sore loser, Pumkin threw a few verbal jabs at her opponent, calling her “ugly.” New York clearly wasn’t fazed by Pumkin’s insults, which seemed to annoy Pumkin even more, and moments later Pumkin spit in New York’s face. Infuriated, New York grabbed Pumkin by the hair, and blondie went flying out of the door.

New York apparently still remembers the incident, calling it “disgusting,” while Pumkin appears to be an accountant at a finance firm.

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Stars Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams Throw Down at Season 6 Reunion

The explosive fight between “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast mates Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams is quite a memorable moment in television.

Although the Bravo cast mates are now on good terms, they were literally at each other’s throats just five years ago. During season 6’s reunion special Moore, who was crowned Miss U.S.A. in 1993, addressed Williams for “shadily” calling her “Miss America” during their first meeting, despite Williams saying it wasn’t on purpose.

Nevertheless, Moore hurled insults about Williams’ broken marriage with former NFL player Kordell Stewart, and apparently taunted the now-37-year-old mother with a blowhorn and scepter. Growing fed up, Williams grabbed Moore’s scepter from her hand, grabbed Moore’s hair, and the two tussled on the floor. Williams was jailed after the incident and handed herself over to the Atlanta Police Department after an arrest warrant was issued for her. Moore filed charges in the attack. Williams eventually would see Moore drop the charges, but Williams’ mug shot is all over the web.

“Black Ink Crew” New York Stars Ceaser Emanuel and Teddy Ruks Jump Alex Robinson

Season 7 of “Black Ink Crew” New York franchise was unforgettable, partly because of the boisterous fight that went down between shop owner Ceaser Emanuel, his cousin Teddy Ruks and their cast mate Alex Robinson.

During their co-star Young Bae’s wedding dinner, Emanuel got into a heated argument with Robinson’s girlfriend Donna Lombardi, which quickly turned physical. During their argument, Emanuel got up from the dinner table and began walking toward Lombardi and Robinson. Before the production’s security team could intervene, Emanuel threw the first punch at Robinson and his cousin Ruks sucker punched the tattoo artist from behind, causing Robinson to fall on his back.

Robinson apparently suffered back injuries from the incident, including “tissue damage.” He filed a lawsuit against Emanuel during the season, but it’s unknown if whether or not the suit is still pending.
