Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s relationship is steadily blossoming into the next chapter.
The two theatre stars began publicly dating in 2025, but their romance did not have a wholesome start, as they were both married to other people.
Whispers of infidelity were just accusations at first, as the two were co-stars in the 2021 Broadway revival of “The Music Man.”

Two years later, Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced their split in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
The following year, Foster, 51, filed for divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin, 55, after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Despite public condemnation, Jackman, 57, and Foster have continued their relationship. Now it looks like they are looking towards the future.
On Aug. 28, US Weekly reported its unnamed source said the couple were thinking about tying the knot again.
“They have talked about getting engaged in the future,” said the source, who then said Jackman “told his friends he thinks she is The One. They are that close.”
After hearing news of their alleged engagement, one person warned, “How you get them is how you’ll lose them.”
Another said, “They both cheated on their partners and divorced them to be together. Everyone knew except the partners in their circle. Lovely couple?!!!”
“Thought they were already engaged. Said it happened in Costa Rica but have never seen an engagement ring! Showing the engagement ring to media is always the first thing. Just a bunch of crap.”
A Foster critic said, “She needs to finalize her divorce before I will believe this relationship will last.
The two theater stars kicked off the new year getting cozy on a tropical escape.
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster were spotted enjoying a PDA-filled vacation in Costa Rica, where they held hands and cuddled up. They also spent a quiet summer in North Carolina, away from the city.
Engagement seems like the natural next step for the two, since Jackman and Foster already blended other parts of their lives.
Though they’ve kept their separate places in New York City, the purported US source said, “They are basically living together.”
Furthermore, Jackman’s adopted adult children, Oscar Jackman, 24, and Ava Jackman, 21, have already met Foster’s 9-year-old adopted daughter, Emily Dale Griffin.
While Foster’s ex — who has yet to sign off on the divorce papers — has not been vocal about the split and infidelity at all, Furness has.
After she officially filed in May 2025, she broke her silence with a statement.
Furness told The Daily Mail, “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,” she added.
Jackman and Furness’ divorce was finalized in June 2025. According to the US, things seems better between the parties involved.
“It’s civil behind the scenes and everyone is finally more accepting of where things are at,” the alleged insider said.
One of the most recent public appearances Jackman and Foster made together was earlier this month at the Tanglewood music festival.
Jackman, 57, took to the stage and invited Foster up to sing a rendition of “A Million Dreams” from his film “The Greatest Showman.”
When she came to the stage, they shared a kiss and smiled brightly at one another before they eventually grabbed hands.
At the end of the song, Jackman planted another kiss on Foster and the crowd roared.
