Steve Harvey’s Valentine’s Day post with his wife Marjorie Harvey took an unexpected turn on Monday, Feb. 14, after it was revealed how expensive her dress was.
In the Instagram upload, Steve, who was seen striking several poses alongside his wife in what appears to be their residence, tried to incorporate holiday-themed colors, including a red suede blazer, donned with matching burgundy shirt and pants and brown shoes.
Marjorie, on the other hand wore a long-sleeved green cut out dress by Bottega Veneta worth $17,000, along with green high-heeled shoes with straps. In addition to the post, Steve penned a short and sweet message to his wife of 14 years.
He wrote, “@marjorie_harvey I Love you girl. Happy Valentine’s Day.” As the “Family Feud” host’s upload began circulating online and was captured on Fashion Bomb Daily, many solely focused on the price tag of Marjorie’s dress and expressed how baffled they were because of its appearance and the material that was used.

Among the previous responses, others claimed that Marjorie was simply wasteful with her money when purchasing the dress. One wrote, “No honey, that was wasteful, even though they have it.”
Another said, “I would not buy this especially for something she’s only gonna wear 1 time that’s ridiculous.”
This isn’t the first time fans have criticized the 57-year-old’s high-fashion attire. In September 2021, during Paris Fashion Week, Marjorie made headlines for wearing an oversized green feather coat and Prada thigh high boots, with the boots having a starting price of around $1,300.
