Tamar Braxton left fans in shambles on Monday, Jan. 31, after revealing the struggles she faced dating over 40.
Braxton was previously married to music executive Vincent Herbert from 2008 to 2017. The singer filed for divorce, and the divorce was legally finalized in 2019. One year after the divorce filing in 2018, Braxton began dating her most recent ex, businessman David Adefeso. The pair ultimately split in 2020, following allegations of a domestic dispute that reportedly took place in his car.
Despite Braxton’s love woes, the “Love & War” vocalist seemingly remained optimistic about romance until she disclosed the potential suitors she may have encountered in the past on her Twitter page.
Although Braxton didn’t provide a particular reason behind her rant, she did, however, offer advice to individuals who don’t act their age in the dating scene. She wrote, “It’s the dudes in they 40’s who still heavy in the streets for me… bruh you not a Playa you are a Pop Pop!!”
As Braxton’s tweet began to circulate online, many agreed with the star’s remarks. One social media user expressed that the mother of one showed no mercy to anyone who matched that description.

In addition to the positive responses, other individuals called out the former reality star because they claimed Braxton was a hypocrite for stating that men in their 40s should be acting their age. One wrote, “I feel her !!!! But she is the last person that needs to be talking about anything and anyone.”
Another said, “Ain’t she too old to be doing some of the s–t she does.” A third social media user expressed being confused by Braxton’s remarks because she posted a thirst trap at 44 years old. That person stated, “Confused cause she 44 and posting bra & undie pics just last year.”
