Waka Flocka made it clear that he isn’t letting whatever personal troubles he and his wife Tammy Rivera are going through have a negative effect on his relationship with her daughter, whom he considers his own.
The 35-year-old rapper, born Juaquin Malphurs, and Rivera wed in 2014 but have been the subject of separation rumors for months, despite remaining mum on the subject. Regardless of what’s happening with their marriage, the “No Hands” rapper isn’t letting it impact the father-daughter bond that he’s built with Rivera’s daughter, Charlie.
Waka shared an image of himself and his “best friend” hanging out while making similar pouty-lipped facial expressions and captioned the image, “When ya daughter became one of ya best friends ❤️ I raised a soiled t [sp] soldier lol.”
Fans applauded Waka for not letting his and Tammy’s ups and downs cause a rift between the fatherly relationship he’s established with Charlie throughout her life.
“I love that he still has a relationship with her!! A REAL father.”
“He’s a real stand up guy that ain’t even his daughter but y’all can’t tell him other wise”
“At this point he’s the real father don’t even put step in the same sentence 💯”
“I’m so happy they relationship is still strong ❤️”
The “Waka & Tammy: What the Flocka” stars have been married for seven years, but fans began wondering if there was trouble in paradise following their respective birthday posts to one another, which included Waka telling her to “be free” and “be happy.”
When asked about their current relationship status, the “Hard in da Paint” artist played coy, telling “Page Six,” “No habla Ingles. No comment. It’s beautiful, next question.”
Charlie is Rivera’s only daughter and her biological father is Tammy’s ex-husband, Brian Williams. Waka Flocka has been a father figure to Charlie since she was four years old, so it’s no surprise that he’s continuing to be just that.
