‘Shake Him Up’: Jamie Foxx Recalls the Time Snoop Dogg Helped Him Instill Fear In Daughter Corinne’s Former Boyfriend

Jamie Foxx is not afraid to share how he has used his star power to embarrass his older daughter, Corinne Foxx.

The Oscar Award-winning actor has countless tales of the ways he has mortified Corinne over the years, many of which served as inspiration for the father-daughter duo’s short-lived Netflix series “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me.”

While promoting his memoir, “Act Like You Got Some Sense: And Other Things My Daughters Taught Me,” Foxx hilariously recalled a time when he asked a fellow A-list celebrity to instill fear in one of the past boyfriends of Corinne, 27, his daughter with Connie Kline.

“What happened was that my daughter, who didn’t know I had already ran a background check on her boyfriend, he comes to the crib and Snoop happens to be there,” recalled Foxx while appearing on the “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

He continued with his account of what happened next by sharing, “I said ‘Snoop there he is right there. Shake him up!’ And you know Snoop. Snoop walked over to my daughter’s boyfriend and just said, ‘Hey wassup, wassup cuz, you know aye look here we her uncles, you know what I’m sayin’ so act accordingly homie.’ ”

While Foxx didn’t share how the young man responded, he did make it clear that the intent of the encounter was to ensure his daughter was in good hands.

“The underlining meaning of it was that I want the young man to understand that she’s got people that really love her, so that if something does go wrong Snoop is coming in,” he added with a chuckle. While the “Soul” star clearly finds ways to torment the suitors of his older daughter, he also has his ways of getting under the skin of her and his younger daughter, Annalise Bishop, 13, whom he shares with Kristin Grannis.

Unbeknownst to the public for years, Foxx has made it a point to playfully humiliate Corinne by making sure the name of her first boyfriend remains relevant. “I named all my characters his name. It’s like subliminal torment.”
