It was announced that “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Mendeecees Harris was released from prison last week after serving four years for drug trafficking. Everyone from his wife Yandy Smith-Harris to his mother Judy Harris celebrated his homecoming by expressing their excitement on social media.
Judy posted the first photo of her and her son to Instagram with no caption, but later posted a slideshow of photos with the caption, “A picture of a million words.”
Many fans left loving comments for the mother and son, who actually remains under the supervision of a Manhattan halfway house, according to the federal Bureau of Prisons.
“Still Mommas Baby ❣️.”
“So happy for ya ! Amazing. God bless. ❤️🙌🏼.”
“Im So Happy That You All Can Finally Move On With Yall Lives Now And Be One Big Happy Family. God Bless and Welcome Home Mendeecee!!!!!”
Fellow “Love and Hip Hop” star Kimbella Vanderhee commented on Judy’s post by simply writing, “😬🙏🏾💪🏾.”
But what was meant to be a kind gesture was met with hate from fans.
“@kimbellasworld Aren’t you beefing with his WIFE!!! And you wishing them blessings girl Bye 😭.”
“@kimbellasworld you are so shady why even comment 😒🤓.”
Vanderhee responded to the last comment, saying, “B–h what it’s a blessing he’s home to his family STFU! 💯💯.”
Vanderhee and Yandy’s beef dates back to 2017 after the former video vixen accused Yandy of not being a real friend. She even went as far as saying that the prison reform advocate’s foster care efforts were all for clout.
While it seemed that the two would make up in 2018, they were still on the outs even after Yandy promised to be there for Vanderhee while her husband Juelz Santana was in prison. Vanderhee later revealed that Yandy didn’t keep her promise to her after a fan asked.
