“Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Kimbella Vanderhee may have rubbed some fans the wrong way after attacking Yandy Smith‘s foster care efforts.
Vanderhee and Smith have been foes throughout season 9 of “LHHNY,” and now Vanderhee is calling her former bestie’s bluff on becoming a foster mother.
During episode 9 on Jan. 28, VH1 co-star Mariah Lynn asked Vanderhee about her thoughts on Smith trying to adopt a teenage girl whom she mentored for three years with her nonprofit organization.
Vanderhee replied, “I know her [Yandy Smith] better then a lot of people, for sure she’s doing something for something.”

Lynn also questioned Smith’s true intentions for becoming a foster mother by saying that Smith “likes to portray her life to be holier than thou.”
Vanderhee added, “I feel like Yandy’s definitely doing this [adoption] for the wrong reason. Everything is about image and putting on a show.”
“LHHNY viewers” slammed Vanderhee for calling Smith’s foster care efforts “fake.”
“I don’t care how much I’m getting paid but loyalty too strong for that TV S–T! Kim was dead wrong for that Yandy ain’t using that girl for a storyline she tryna help 😒,” one fan tweeted.
Another added, “Damn Kim that was cold asf. I know you mad at Yandy but you ain’t have to go that low smh.”
“Yandys business has NOTHING to do with them so why is she the topic of y’all little meeting? No money in the world is gonna make me downgrade another female doing good 🤦🏻♀️ y’all r disgusting for that,” another “LHHNY” viewer tweeted.
Vanderhee ended her friendship with Smith in 2017 after claiming that Smith suddenly disappeared out of her life and was only pretending to be a good friend on social media. She also said Smith hadn’t called her for months in 2017, but tried to wish her a birthday on Instagram instead of personally reaching out to her. Vanderhee appears to still be upset with Smith and wants nothing to do with their friendship.
