It looks like Yandy Smith-Harris‘ husband, Mendeecees Harris is a free man.
After a number of conflicting prison release dates, Mendeecees was finally released from prison on Jan. 29. He served four years behind bars after he was convicted of drug trafficking a few years ago. The music executive was reportedly slated to get out of prison in November.
On Wednesday afternoon, the “Love and Hip Hop: New York” actor took to his Instagram story and posted a video of himself and his wife riding around together in their car. The father of four took his camera phone out and panned it toward a gloating Yandy.
Mendeecees’ wife isn’t the only one happy about his release, social media users are also excited for his return.
“She bout to be in the house 3 days straight 😂😂4 years is hella long. My mans is fresh outtt”
“I’m extremely happy for both of them 🙌🏽❤️. Look at that glow Yandy has😍. I can’t believe she held him down for all these years💯”

In 2015, Mendeecees was handed down a sentence of 8 to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking. Between 2006 and 2008, he reportedly shipped cocaine and heroin from New York City to Rochester, New York. The music exec took a plea deal and began serving his sentence in January 2016. He was already credited with serving 15 months behind bars.
The Bureau of Prisons stated that Mendeecees would be out in October 2020, but he’s apparently out nine months before the date.
Yandy and Mendeecees supposedly wed in 2015. The couple share two children together, including Skylar Harris, 4, and Omere Harris, 7. Mendeecees has two sons from previous relationships.
