Kimbella Vanderhee Says Yandy Smith Didn’t Keep Her Word About Supporting Her During Husband’s Prison Sentence

Kimbella Vanderhee accomplished two things with a recent Instagram post: She relayed that her husband Juelz Santana is doing OK in prison, and that Yandy Smith didn’t keep her word about being there for her.

The two “Love & Hip-Hop: New York” cast mates were friends since the early days of the reality series but ended that relationship in 2017 when Vanderhee accused Smith of not being a real friend. Vanderhee made that claim when Smith wished her a happy birthday on social media instead of phoning her.

That’s MY Husband!! I miss him SO much and so do the kids, we went to visit him Saturday that just passed and what a blessing!! To see my Husband and their father in a tailored Khaki shirt, Tailored Khaki pants and Timb’s on to set the mood!! Lol your boy is doing just fine!! Had D&G cologne sprayed on and a fresh new cut just to see us! Too bad in the feds we don’t get conjugal visits chile 😰 But the kids were sooooo happy to see him doing well and being able to hug and hang out with him for some hours! He was smiling and was so happy to see us, he had nothing but good things to say about the camp he’s at. It of course, was so sad to leave when it was time to go. I just hope this gets easier the more we go visit and with time. I know he will be home soon now that he has started his sentence, and with God & Prayer we will be good overall! Because we are Blessed regardless of the circumstances at hand 😇🙏🏾💜 I’ll be back to update you all on our progress through this. We appreciate all your prayers & support at this time! Week 3!

There were other problems between the two women as well, like when Vanderhee said Smith was trying to adopt a teenage girl just to boost her image. “I feel like Yandy’s definitely doing this [adoption] for the wrong reason,” she told cast mate Mariah Lynn. “Everything is about image and putting on a show.”

In the recent Instagram post she gave an update on Santana and expressed how wonderful it was to see him.

The Dipset rapper was sentenced to 27 months in 2018 after the TSA at Newark Liberty International Airport found a loaded 38-caliber pistol in his bag and nonprescription oxycodone pills in March of that year. He started serving his sentence at the Petersburg Medium Federal Correctional Institution in Hopewell, Va., last month.

“We went to visit him Saturday that just passed and what a blessing!!” wrote Vanderhee on Wednesday. “To see my Husband and their father in a tailored Khaki shirt, Tailored Khaki pants and Timb’s on to set the mood!!”

“Lol your boy is doing just fine!,” she added. “Too bad in the feds we don’t get conjugal visits chile 😰 But the kids were sooooo happy to see him doing well and being able to hug and hang out with him for some hours.”

Then in the comments, someone asked Vanderhee if Smith kept her promise about being there for her and the children once Santana began his sentence. It was something Smith said she’d do during one of the show’s episodes, when the two ladies attempted to fix their friendship.

“But did Yandy keep her word tho is she there for y’all or nah,” the follower asked.

“She didn’t,” Vanderhee replied.

At this time, Smith hasn’t responded to Vanderhee.
