‘Who Are We Talking About’: Tami Roman Rises Above the Petty When Fan Alludes to Drama

Tami Roman is taking her peace seriously.

After bidding “Basketball Wivesfarewell this season, the former reality TV star has stayed largely quiet on the drama brewing on the series.

On Tuesday morning, the “Saints and Sinners” actress tweeted about keeping your eyes on the prize and not letting others’ feelings about it stand in your way.

“Everyone has a plan and/or vision for their life and sometimes certain people, things, situations don’t fit. You have to respect when a person is brave enough to say, ‘This isn’t for me’ and let them move on without you getting in your feelings. 💯,” she said Oct. 16.

Fans initially responded with praise for her remarks.

“Yassss Tami !! I love your vibe girl !! Your energy I can feel it all the way over here 👏🏼 keep being amazing !!”

“Correct. Everything ain’t for everybody. Well said.”

“Agreed. Making personal decisions to improve your life should not be viewed as an ‘attack’ by others.”

But moments after the tweet, a Twitter user appeared to want to sift through the words for potential drama hidden between the lines.

“WHO ARE WE TALKING ABOUT DEAR!!!” they asked Roman.

“The Real World” alum hit back minutes later and replied, “This isn’t about a who, but a what… Life. In life there will be many scenarios where someone or something doesn’t fit for you OR you don’t fit for them. Either way, it’s not personal.”

Roman has kept herself above the fray since exiting “Basketball Wives.” The star had initially questioned coming back to the VH1 series for season 8 after being bombarded with remarks about her health the season before.

“I’m just at a place right now where it’s about protecting my energy and my space and my zen. I have to protect it,” she told “Entertainment Tonight” in January. “And so, even within the ‘Basketball Wives’ world, if I were to go back, certain changes would have to be made for me to be comfortable in that environment. But we’re still in talks. I don’t necessarily know if I’ll return, but we are talking about how everybody can be comfortable in that environment.”

Roman did return, but she only appeared in a handful of episodes and kept major life developments a secret from her castmates. Upon eloping with longtime boyfriend Reggie Youngblood in 2018, she did not tell many of her co-stars and only informed a select few at a party this year.

“I feel like I don’t really need to disclose that I’m married because I don’t know who will be genuinely happy, who would really care,” she shared in a confessional scene during the season premiere.
