‘That’s a Wrap’: Tami Roman Officially Done With ‘Basketball Wives’ After Final Taping, Fans Show Their Support

Tami Roman is officially done with “Basketball Wives.” The star shared a photo from the final confessional she filmed for the VH1 reality series on Instagram Friday.

“That’s a wrap 🎬 last one 😢#BitterSweet so appreciative & thankful for the last 9 yrs! Dear God, it’s me, Tami again… what you got for me? 😂😇🙏🏽,” she wrote in the caption of the photo, looking ahead to what’s next.

Fans immediately praised the star for moving on from the show.

“Growth and maturity! No more drama! Thank you Jesus!!!! We are GROWN!!! 🙌🏾❤️❤️”

“On to the next😍”

Roman’s return to “Basketball Wives” had been hanging in the balance earlier this year. As her co-stars were seen filming in various combinations, Roman long remained away from VH1 cameras.

Finally opening up about her possibly leaving the show in January, Roman told “Entertainment Tonight” that coming back would be contingent upon how comfortable she can feel on set.

“I’m just at a place right now where it’s about protecting my energy and my space and my zen. I have to protect it,” she told the news magazine. “And so, even within the ‘Basketball Wives’ world, if I were to go back, certain changes would have to be made for me to be comfortable in that environment. But we’re still in talks. I don’t necessarily know if I’ll return, but we are talking about how everybody can be comfortable in that environment.”

By March, Roman confirmed that she was definitely coming back to the series she initially joined in season 2.

“Sometimes contracts hold you to certain situations, and I actually love filming ‘Basketball Wives,’” she said on the NAACP Image Awards red carpet. “I just had to make sure that it was in an environment that I would be comfortable in. They kinda promised me that, and so, contractually, I’m back.”

But that doesn’t mean Roman was twiddling her thumbs in the meantime. The star has long remained booked and busy between filming seasons 7 and 8 of the show, making it clear she isn’t just settling for reality TV fame.

She’s landed recurring acting gigs on TV series like “Carl Weber’s The Family Business” and “Saints & Sinners.” She also launched a shoe line and continues to make her viral sketch “Bonnet Chronicles” on Instagram.
