Toni Braxton is happy for her sister Tamar Braxton now that she’s found love again. And the “Un-Break My Heart” singer says it’s clear her youngest sibling is not looking to reunite with her estranged husband Vince Herbert.
Toni visited “The Wendy Williams Show” Tuesday, Nov. 13 and chatted about her sister’s new relationship with a Nigerian Harvard graduate.
“He’s nice. As long as my sister’s happy, I don’t care who it is,” the star tells Wendy Williams of her sibling’s new man, whom Toni said she likes. As for whether or not a reunion between Tamar and Herbert is in the cards, Toni is unsure.
“I can’t tell,” she tells a disappointed Williams. “I would say no … It’s just me. I’m being honest. I just think they were for a moment, for a season. I don’t feel like it was for a lifetime. They have a beautiful son, Logan, and they’re parenting together but … I don’t know. I don’t want to talk about their lives.”
Tamar filed to divorce Herbert in October 2017 after being plagued by divorce rumors for years. The singer and her music executive spouse have yet to finalize their separation but Tamar herself has made it clear there is no hope for her to get back with the father of her 5-year-old son.
“U still with that dude Vince #askingforafriend,” a fan asked Tamar on Instagram in August.
“@totallyt420 #tellyafriendnaw 😩,” the star said in response.
Since then, Tamar hasn’t stopped gushing about her new man. She told Williams herself during a stop on the talk show in September that she might even be open to walking down the aisle again with her new bae.
“It depends on if I’m asked or not,” she said adding she “absolutely would love to have some wonderful, beautiful African children” with her boyfriend.
