After a judge warned Tamar Braxton that she needed to make some movement in her divorce proceedings, a new article says that the singer has done just that.
Braxton filed to divorce Vince Herbert nearly a year ago in October 2017. But since then, activity in the process has stalled and a judge warned Braxton to provide proof that the music executive was served papers or the split could be halted completely.
But now The Blast is reporting Braxton has, in fact, served her estranged husband. The singer filed documents on Sept. 11 that show “proof of service.” The docs reveal Hebert got the papers earlier this month.
Braxton is now forging ahead with the split, in which she’s seeking to get full custody of the spouses’ 5-year-old son Logan, should come as no surprise since she recently gushed about her new Nigerian boyfriend on “The Wendy Williams Show.”
“He’s so fine! I can’t take it sometimes. It’s like a whole snack — a Lunchable!” Braxton said on-air Thursday, Sept. 13. “He lives in L.A., he’s originally from Nigeria, but he lived here for a while.”
Also on the show, Braxton confirmed that the reports of financial woes plaguing their marriage was all on Herbert’s end.
“I don’t have any financial problems,” the “Braxton Family Values” star said pointedly.
Braxton’s appearance on “Wendy” came after she just touched back down in Los Angeles after soaking up a Jamaican getaway with her man, who continues to remain nameless.
As the performer took in an ocean view from her cabana last week, she explained she was happier than ever.
“Well, guys, I am going to log off,” the singer said on her Instagram Live stream where fans ate up a peek at her boyfriend. “It’s so peaceful, so beautiful here. I haven’t been this happy in forever.”
