In the trailer for the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams butted heads over speculation that Williams’ fiancé is still talking to his ex. And now, Burruss is giving an inside scoop on the drama.
The long-time star of the hit Bravo series sat down to chat with Entertainment Tonight over the juicy moment that rocked fans when the season 11 trailer dropped last month.
“I would say it’s a rollercoaster,” Burruss says in the interview uploaded online Saturday, Nov. 3 of her dynamic with Williams this season. “I was cool with us starting on a better note, but I think the issue was, in her new relationship, I knew things about her significant other. And when the season first started … I was trying to figure out, do I have these conversations with her, with the group? … Basically, there was some tea dropping.
“For me, it was more of a thing about, if this is a new relationship, you should know what you’re getting into,” she adds. “But I think more so after finding out that they were going to have a family together, at that point, then it was kinda like, you know what? Does it even matter anymore for me to share this?”
Williams began dating Atlanta entrepreneur Dennis McKinley earlier this year and notably kept his identity a secret all summer long. That officially stopped once she confirmed rumors of a pregnancy and revealed she was engaged.
During that time, Williams and Burruss seemed to put their past drama behind them, which concerned a rumor that Burruss wanted to drug and rape Williams in her supposed sex dungeon. But after the pair got cool again, Williams abruptly unfollowed Burruss on Instagram. And days later, Burruss unfollowed Williams on the platform.
Not much has been said about why that happened outside of Williams saying Burruss “posted something I didn’t want to see.” But fans tuning into Bravo on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. will be closer to discovering the truth.
