Steve and Marjorie Harvey have been married since 2007, and the comedian isn’t quiet about proclaiming his love for his bride. On May 5, the 65-year-old took to Instagram and shared a throwback clip that shows him declaring his love for Marjorie while he was onstage. The video was from Steve’s eighth- annual Hoodie Awards in 2010. The event honored individuals’ contributions to their community.
In the recording, Steve recounted past moments after hearing what he referred to as the couple’s song. Without disclosing the track’s title, he said, “I just had a moment. That’s me and my wife’s song too. I met her in ’86, ’87 when the song came out, and God gave her back to me in 2005. I put her name in the back man. Do you understand me.”
Steve added that his love for Marjorie runs so deep that he would kill “everybody in here” about her. The “Family Feud” host went on to say to much laughter from the audience and with Marjorie sitting in the crowd, “That’s mine right there. I own you and you own me. I will kill everybody in here about your a–. Please understand that about the way I love you, Marjorie Elaine. You understand me I’ll kill everybody in here. I swear to God I will. You can ask the Lord about me.”
The clip ended with Steve shouting expletives and the audience laughing. In addition to the video, Steve captioned the upload, “The way I love @marjorie_harvey …” Following the post, Marjorie — whom Steve has been known to shower in designer threads and surprise on random occasions while she’s been away on a trip — returned the love by commenting with seven kissing face emojis.
As fans viewed the video, many praised Steve for his remarks and for loving his wife out loud.
