‘Interview Over’: Michael B. Jordan Earns Steve Harvey’s Respect After Answering This Major Question

It’s no secret how veteran television host extraordinaire Steve Harvey feels about Michael B. Jordan, one of Hollywood’s hottest actors, dating his stepdaughter, model Lori Harvey. In the past, the “Family Feud” host has gushed about the couple’s much-talked-about romance, telling outlets, “I’m happy for my daughter right now.”

During an interview for Paper Magazine’s latest cover story, the “Black Panther” star interviewed his girlfriend’s father to discuss the Hollywood legend’s oft-praised fashion style. However, near the end of their discussion, Harvey had just one question for Michael–regarding his popular relationship with the 25-year-old social media influencer.

“You call me OG, I call you young soldier. We text all the time,” Harvey started. “I’m proud of you as a young brother, man, what you’ve done. So it’d only be fitting to close out this interview with me asking you one question: Do you love Lori Harvey?”

Michael answered, “Oh, man. I do. For sure.” At that moment, the legendary comedian declared, “Interview over,” telling the “Creed” star, “You’ve got my respect. Thank you, brother. You’ve got my respect.” Laughter followed. “Hey Mike, at the end of the day, I’m a father.” Michael added, “One thousand percent. And I got nothing but respect for you and the family. That goes without saying.”

Lori and Michael have only been dating a little bit over a year, but it’s clear to fans that they are head over heels for each other. Last week in an Instagram post, The “Hard Ball” star declared his love for his girlfriend by sharing a photo of the beauty, writing “I love her” in the caption. Lori responded with a white heart emoji in the comments, adding, “And I love youuu.”

During a recent interview with Pop Sugar, Lori shared some tips on how they maintain a happy and healthy relationship. “Always communicate. Overcommunicate, even, so you are always on the same page,” Harvey said at the time.

She added, “Also, be friends first. You know how sometimes you fight with your siblings and, of course, you love them, but you’re like, ‘I don’t even like you right now?’ It’s important to always be friends whether you like the person.”
