Well, it looks like Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has officially joined the glam squad for his fiancée, ‘Selling Tampa’ star Sharelle Rosado. In May 2021, Johnson was caught curling Rosado‘s hair during a photo shoot. Now’s he’s transitioned to makeup.
In an Instagram post-Monday, Feb. 21, the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver shared a video of himself powdering Rosado’s face with makeup. In the caption, he writes, “The more you can do the easier it is to knock unnecessary expenses off the books.”
In the video, Johnson jokingly explained how he saves money doing the luxury real estate broker’s makeup, while she struggles not to laugh.
“Fellas, if you want to save money watch YouTube. Check out my tutorials,” he said with a straight face. “Women’s makeup is very expensive. If you learn how to do this s–t yourself, you’re saving money. Today, I’mma give her a nice little beat.”
He added, “Instead of paying a makeup artist, I’m gon’ apply the s–t. Just light, light, foundation, little blush and just blend it all together.”
As fans began to view Johnson’s video, many became overwhelmed with laughter, including rapper Rick Ross and others who complimented the former NFL player for his comedic skills.
“Lmafooo this man is hilarious,” wrote one person, while another said, “He is such a comedian. I love it lol.”
A third said, “I know he serious.”
Johnson’s makeup-saving tips earned him the title as “Save a bag Cosmetology Chad.” But they also reminded fans of Terry Crews‘ penny-pinching character Julius on “Everybody Hates Chris.” The hit sitcom is loosely based on the childhood of co-creator comedian Chris Rock and takes place in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn in the ’80s.
One person wrote, “Acting like Julius from ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ cheapy!” Another said, “He definitely give[s] Julius from ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ vibes.”
Some were puzzled, wondering if Johnson was being “sarcastic or serious” about doing Rosado’s makeup. But many were inspired on how he saves the bag.
“Can’t tell if he’s being sarcastic or serious but save that $$$,” wrote one person. Another said, “It’s giving cheap but if he’s actually good at it. I’m here for it.”
One pointed out that Johnson’s “daughters always look good. So rock my man.”
Chad Johnson and Sharelle Rosado, founder of Allure Realty, welcomed their baby girl Serenity on Jan. 2, in his hometown of Miami. She is the youngest of eleven including, Johnson’s seven children and Rosado’s three children — all from previous relationships.
