Apryl Jones has been the love interest of quite a few men in entertainment, and it would seem, outside of Lil Fizz and Omarion, who were in the same band, that none of the guys that fans know about are remotely similar. Neither is her new guy, Taye Diggs.
The beautiful “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star popped on people’s radar in 2014 as the girlfriend and mother of the children of Omarion, the lead singer in the hit 2000s group B2K. The biracial Chicago native’s biggest headline was when she swapped love snugs and started to date one of her children’s childhood friends two years after breaking up with the “Icebox” singer.
The relationship lasted a couple of seasons and ended abruptly, but since then the winemaker has been linked to a bevy of rappers including the recently divorced Dr. Dre.
Her new man, the feature film and Broadway musical star, Diggs, might be the most different of all the men that have been linked to her.
The two sparked romance rumors after they were spotted attending a party together. Afterwards, they began sharing videos on social media together.
In one video, the two appear to be on a plane (perhaps a jet or first class) and Jones is trying to teach Diggs the words to Destiny Child’s “Say My Name.” Diggs clearly could not keep up, causing his friends and fans in the comments to fall out over the hilarity.
Apryl’s latest post of the two on her Instagram has probably pushed the TayPryl Love Train to full speed. The mother of two showed off a few outfits her new man got for her to wear to a premiere. He was able to purchase the garbs from one of America’s favorite retail stops.
She revealed where her new clothes came from in her caption, writing, “The finer things in life are amazing but so are the simplest things too! I’m rocking this sh-t, CVS and all with some heels! @tayediggsinsta (Thank u).”
In the video, he says, “I don’t usually shop for people but I’m into you.” To which, she says, “Ladies, find you someone that gets you gifts from CVS.” For the first time, she casually floats that he is “someone” to her, and then he kisses her gently on the cheek.
One fan says, “We love this love.”
Another says, “This is sooooo cute!!!! I love you two together !!!”
“They’re actually cute… but sis definitely doesn’t have a type,” someone floated in the hundreds of comments about the new couple.
Another gushed, “This might be the right one for her. She seems natural with him and he’s a funny guy this might work.”
“So they together together I’ve been so confused,” another commented.
Following the video, the couple attended the private screening for Taye’s film “Incarnation” together.
Diggs was married to “Wicked” and “Frozen” star Idina Menzel for ten years after meeting her on the set of the Broadway production of “Rent” in 1995, and then he was known for dating Netflix’s “Setting Sunset” star Amanza Smith.
