‘Looking Like Miss America’: Fans Melt Over ‘RHOP’ Star Gizelle Bryant’s Throwback College Photos of Her Repping Her Sorority

“Real Housewives of Potomac” reality star Gizelle Bryant has been pretty all of her life. The Houston, Texas, native recently shared throwback photos of herself at Hampton University in 1990 after crossing the Gamma Theta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

#GammaTheta Spring 90 ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’š I remember it like it yesterday. SKEE WEE MY SORORS! #HappyFoundersDay #AKA #J15 #HamptonUniversity,” Bryant captioned the flicks of her commemorating the sorority’s founder’s day on Friday, Jan. 15.

Bryant glowed in each photo wearing pink and green, and fans were all here for the television personality repping her organization.

“My godfather went to Hampton with you.. his name is Arcelius Brickhouse.. he has made it clear that you were definitely ‘THAT GIRL’ on campus! That the guys were crazy about you ๐Ÿ˜.”

“Looking like Miss America Vanessa Williams.”

“Wow. That last photo is beautiful. It looks like a photo that would be in a Black history museum. 1. You were stunning, and nothing has changed 2. I love seeing all of those young beautiful Black students living life and having fun together. Such a beautiful sight. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’š.”

Fans also noticed how much Bryant, 50, favors her daughter Grace by her ex-husband and current boyfriend, Jamal Bryant. Bryant and Jamal celebrated their daughter’s 16th birthday party at Mastro’s Restaurant in another family photo uploaded on Nov. 4.

#FamBam Ok this is really the last picture. ๐Ÿ˜Š I have been so overwhelmed with this day,” Bryant captioned the family photo. “My little girl is all grown up. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ข I thank God for my family; I would be a mess without them #FamilyOverEverything #Sweet16.”

Fans took to Bryant’s comments section this week to express just how much she and Grace resemble each other.

“GRACE’s whole face ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ so cute xx.”

“Grace is your twin!” Jamal commented on his boo’s post.

“It’s giving very much, Grace๐Ÿ˜.”

Bryant and Jamal divorced in 2009 after seven years of marriage, but on the season 5 series of “RHOP” Bryant reunited with Jamal.

In the “RHOP” season 5 reunion, co-star Monique Samuels presented โ€œreceiptsโ€ as she claimed that Jamal was cheating on Gizelle due to him not appearing for the show’s filming.

Regardless of what is speculated or assumed, the couple seem to be going strong, and fans believe theyโ€™ve created a beautiful family together.

Independent journalism doesn't fund itself.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
