Season 9 of “Basketball Wives” may include O.G. if her tweet is to be believed.
The self-described Nigerian Knockout cryptically tweeted Monday, “..MAYBE THiRD TiME’S A CHARM….🤷🏾♀️🙏🏿🤷🏾♀️.#iHEARTOG #NiGERiANknockout #GODisGREAT #ALLtheTiME.”
Fans swiftly took the post and ran with it, eager to see the onetime newbie return to the long-running VH1 series for a third consecutive season.
“Another season of basketball wives? Yesssss 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾”
“You are much needed !!!! Do your thing Queen”
“BASKETBALL WIVES…WHOOP👐🏽 WHOOP. 👐🏽 THEY BETTA HAD!!!!! IF NOT THEY WAS GOING TO LOOSE ALOT OF VIEWERS….CONTINUE TO BE UR AUTHENTIC SELF. WE ❤ U OG!”
“The only way I’m watching is if you return”
However, it didn’t take long for fans of the retired Legends Football League player to use the development to take a dig at her on-screen foe, Evelyn Lozada.
“This why Evelyn got baptized”
“Lizarda better be worried”
“Unless they is offering you the highest pay rate and take Shaunie and Evelyn off the show don’t go back”
“Don’t fall for their tricks. Heard Evelyn getting baptized 🤣🤣”
Recently, Lozada shared a photo of herself getting baptized at Freedom Church in the L.A. area, which took place months after O.G. took aim at the “Livin Lozada” star’s ex-husband Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson for coming after her in her Twitter direct messages.
“Ochocinco wanted me! Ochocinco wanted me! … Ocho was in my DMs happy, boo! I’m your favorite athlete’s favorite athlete!” O.G. exclaimed to her co-star on a cast trip to Costa Rica.
It appeared to get under Lozada’s skin as she rattled off, “I got kids, I got family, I got A+ credit, I got a bomb motherf–king p—y.” As she finished the final phrase, Lozada patted her privates and wriggled her hips around.
Amid the back and forth, O.G. also hurled accusations that her Puerto Rican co-star was attempting to be Black. But according to O.G., Ochocinco, who finally responded to his name being brought up recently, wants to date a Black woman.
“Chad wants to be with a black woman!” she said, apparently defending O.G. being in her DMs during the Cincinnati Bengals player’s 2011 engagement to Lozada. “You’re not black! You can gel your hair down all you want, you can say n—a this and n—a that. … You’re not black!”
Lozada has openly identified herself as an Afro-Latina in recent months. She snapped back in a confessional scene, “I’m proud. So you can suck my d–k.”
