It looks like “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” star Reginae Carter is facing some serious backlash on social media.
The 20-year-old reality star was spotted at the “Winners Only Pool Party” held in Atlanta over the weekend by her off-and-on boyfriend YFN Lucci, reality star Alexis Skyy and her new beau Trouble. According to a slew of viral social media posts, the affair was filled with ratchet activities like fistfighting and women partaking in the “degrading” “cucumber challenge,” an activity that was slapped down by Carter last month.
The young actress busted boyfriend YFN Lucci commenting underneath a provocative video of a woman suggestively gesturing a cucumber in her mouth. The incident led to an apparent breakup between the pair and a personal PSA from Carter herself.
“The cucumber situation… I feel like to each his own, that’s what you do but it’s very degrading and it’s not cute,” she said in an Instagram Live posted on July 1. “Also, if you have a daughter…that s–t is not cool. … Anybody that’s promoting that and thinking that’s cool I don’t want to be nowhere near them. … They’re childish, they’re dirty and pathetic! That’s all I have to say.”
Well, it seems Carter’s message denouncing the cucumber craze is coming back to haunt her.
“Y were u even at that party ur a horrible representation for ur mother and horrible role model for ur sister. Ur a whole hypocrite 🤦🏽♀️Toya may have had u young but she never carried herself the way u do.”
“You were against cucumber sucking when Lucci was involved with it but yet you went to a cucumber sucking party SMH 🤦 The hypocrisy.”
“Yo lame ass was at the pool party all that cap ass s–t. Smh fake id never 🙄.”
The “Pride & Prejudice” actress was spotted hanging out at the “Winner’s Only Pool Party” with T.I. and Tiny Harris‘ daughter, Zonnique Pullins. She eventually addressed the controversy on Twitter Monday morning claiming she went to keep tabs on Lucci.
“I went to the party to spy on ray (lucci). Females , don’t act like you never did it,” Carter wrote. “But when I heard about the cucumber activities , I left. Tbh , I’ve made myself look like a fool for this man and I apologize for allowing you guys to see it.”
She continued, writing, “I wanna tell my supporters that actually cares about me and not tryna drag me for my mistakes .. that I love you guys. … I owe it to my true fans. BecauSe my brand is something that means a lot to me. And I’m not tryna mess it up.”
Despite the backlash Carter is receiving at the time for supposedly contradicting herself, there are a slew of fans jumping to her defense.
