As the new season of “Basketball Wives” prepares to hit airwaves next month, a new photo shows Jennifer Williams posing alongside a pal that a fan account says could show up on the latest round of episodes.
Fans, however, are not feeling it.
“Issa DUO!🙌🏼🔥😍#basketballwives #BBWLA” the fan Instagram account captioned the pic shared on Monday, May 20, from Williams’ pal Dominique Lenard’s Instagram page.
When Lenard shared the photo she captioned it “We came for the waves” and tagged Williams.
Noticing the pic on the fan IG account, viewers of the VH1 series promptly grew suspicious over the intentions of Williams’ pal potentially joining the cast.

Lenard, who lounged by the pool in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood over the weekend, has been seen with Williams on several occasions. One recent time was when Williams hosted her sip and shop event earlier this month in support of the brick-and-mortar launch for her Classy Girl Wardrobe line. It also served as a way to honor the reality star’s late mother, who died of cancer in 2015.
Williams may need the extra support this season, as she largely wound up on an island all by herself when “Basketball Wives” wrapped its seventh season last year.
After she showed up unannounced on a cast trip to Amsterdam, Williams became the target of a table Malaysia Pargo threw her way. Plus her apparent refusal in owning up to disparaging remarks she supposedly made about now-ex-pal Evelyn Lozada’s parenting — on top of her part in spreading a rumor that Lozada slept with an ex of Shaunie O’Neal — even led O’Neal to wash her hands of Williams.
Perhaps being on her own put her and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes together. Leakes similarly cut out all her cast mates after she felt they betrayed her. The stars’ April link-up resulted in fans criticizing the two.
