As the new season of “Basketball Wives” is set to air soon, the ladies recently gathered to support Jennifer Williams at a Sip and Shop for the launch of her brick and mortar store for Classy Girl Wardrobe. The May 1 event was hosted at Beverly Muse in Los Angeles and also served to honor Williams’ late mother, who died of cancer before the end of 2015.
Among the cast members who arrived to support Williams was Malaysia Pargo and Evelyn Lozada, both of whom took fans by surprise by showing up.
While Pargo’s support was more obviously alarming considering she hurled a table at Williams in Amsterdam last season, Lozada’s arrival was also eyebrow-raising for viewers.
Williams was caught up in the rumor that Lozada slept with one of Shaunie O’Neal’s exs, which Life & Style magazine speculated is Marlon Yates Jr.
The incident played out early on in the seventh season of “Basketball Wives” last year, which also involved Tami Roman. She and Williams went back and forth over the course of the entire season over who is responsible for bringing the claim to the group.
“I haven’t watched #BasketballWives yet however I will say this, I should have never participated in some BS regardless of how upset I was at Evelyn,” Williams tweeted when the episode in question aired in June 2018.
Presently, Lozada took the time to explain why she’s apparently let bygones be bygones.
“As women we must be able to rise above personal feelings and conflicts to support causes that have such a devastating effect on our communities,” Lozada said in an Instagram comment explaining why she showed up to Williams’ event. “I know all too well the physical and emotional effect that cancer can have on the patient as well as the caregivers and family. Losing my brother in law to cancer was one of the hardest trials we had to endure as a family. I will ALWAS stand in support of causes like this xoxo.”
The remark got a mixed reaction from fans.
Some were all for the positivity.

Others found it disingenuous.
“Y’all all should know it’s just for a storyline. The show probably about to come back on.”
“ONLY reason why Evilyn is being cool with everybody is so that NOBODY will be cool with Tami. She claimed to go hard for her kids…but Jen went hard about her daughter and a event healed that?? Right lol the WHOLE cast is fake!”
