It’s been almost two months since T.I.‘s sister Precious Harris died after a car crash, and the rapper spoke about her in the trailer of the new season of his reality show “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.”
On Feb. 13 Harris reportedly suffered an asthma attack while driving T.I.’s Dodge Avenger and struck a utility pole. She passed away on Feb. 22 at the age of 66 after being placed in the intensive care unit.
“She always reminded me that this too shall pass,” said T.I. in the trailer.
The singer Monica, who’s also on the show, spoke about Harris as well and told others how she would want them to act after her passing. Monica said Harris was an upbeat person and wouldn’t want people to feel down.
“It just breaks my heart. She’s vibrant. I don’t think she would want us moping around sad. Precious loved to have fun,” she stated.
The clip then shows Tip, his wife Tiny Harris, Monica, LeToya Luckett and others toasting to Harris. “We’re gonna rejoice,” said T.I. as everyone lifted their glasses.
Later in the teaser, the “Paper Trail” creator talked about boycotting Gucci. It’s something he’s been seemingly passionate about since the Italian fashion house released a black turtleneck sweater that evoked a blackface theme. The sweater has since been pulled after Gucci received plenty of backlash.
Tip has called out Gucci on social media more than once and blasted others like Floyd Mayweather for continuing to support them. He also released a diss song against Mayweather called “F–K N—-.”
“You might have a favorite Gucci coat like I do that you want to wear but you can’t,” said Tip in the trailer to a room full of people. “Not if you want your respect.”
Harris is survived by her three children, Avis Chapman-Reese, Kayama Chapman, and Kareem Chapman.
