Tamar Braxton is rolling full steam ahead with her reality TV ventures. The singer recently revealed she is getting her own spin-off series separate from the one with her estranged husband Vince Herbert. Plus, she backtracked on remarks she made earlier this month about quitting “Braxton Family Values.”
“I’m definitely still shooting the Braxtons and I have another spin-off show,” Braxton said during a recent interview with Detroit’s Praise 102.7. “It’s not with Vince this time. It’s Tamar and my life now and where I am now. And a lot of other great things. And maybe some music, who knows?”
On October 5, Braxton took a few fan questions and when one asked if she was coming back to her family’s WEtv show next season she answered, “No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
But the revelation about getting her own spin-off isn’t quite as surprising. It makes sense that “Tamar & Vince” would be a wrap since their divorce is moving forward and there would be a vacant spot in the TV line up.
Yet another backtrack for Braxton came when she hinted that she’d be making new music, something she confirmed in an Oct. 25 tweet.
“Anyway…. I’m in the studio next week. That’s the BIG fish to fry #howboutthat,” she said.
Last year, Braxton made waves when she declared her fifth album, “Bluebird of Happiness” would be her last.
“There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that,” she told Entertainment Tonight around the time she wound up filing for divorce.
While new music news is exciting, many fans are buzzing about her TV plans.
