A teaser for next week’s “Basketball Wives” reveals a stunning conversation between Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman and it prompted the “Livin’ Lozada” star to speak out about her domestic violence experience.
In a text thread, Lozada told Roman she’s a “liar,” presumably for her involvement in spreading a rumor about Shaunie O’Neal’s ex. Then, Roman tells Lozada she “lied on Chad,” remarking on her accusations of domestic abuse against ex-Bengals player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson in 2012.
“I lied on Chad?” Lozada asked before Roman hit below the belt and responded, “You know you was fighting that man all along.”
“WHAT?” a stunned Lozada replied.
The back and forth, which will be discussed in detail in the episode, prompted Lozada to blast her co-star in a set of tweets.
Me & my ex husband know the truth & that’s all that matters. My heart aches for the kids & our families having to re-live this shit all over again because of someone’s evil ways. #BasketballWives

Another Twitter user backed up the star. User @sunshynelyn510 proclaimed “we all saw the photos of that huge gash that man made in her forehead and we heard the 911 call the neighbor made when Evelyn had to run” adding “Tami sooooo wrong.”
“She’s GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!” Lozada said.

When another fan expressed disbelief in the fact that Roman brought up Lozada’s abuse, Lozada simply said Roman “don’t care — her goal is to try to ruin me.”

Lozada’s tweets clearly show her emotion, but it was her lengthy Instagram post, which was later deleted, that put things on full display.
“The victim blaming culture discourages DV victims from coming forward,” she wrote in the caption of a series of photos showing her wounds allegedly from her husband of 41 days. “The fear of being judged and shamed is enough to make anyone stay quiet and suffer in silence — so coming out is a HUGE deal! Shaming directed at the survivor is just WRONG on so many levels. The mindset of anyone who would think that the one being abused did something to incite the situation unsettles me! When someone builds up enough courage to speak their truth — they should be believed and supported. And for those that choose to victim blame — pause and think about the inner turmoil and emotional conflict you can potentially cause for the survivor.
“For me, as a DV survivor, I chose to use my experience to personally evolve and I’ve learned that there is light at the end of the darkest tunnel. I know that all DV situations are different. In my case, it was the love and support our families and a willingness and concerted effort by both of us to heal; my ex and I coexist, harbor no ill will and have moved forward… #StopVictimBlaming #DVisReal #ThinkBeforeYouAct #LozadaCares #LivingInMyTruth 💜💜💜💜💜💜.”
In response, several fans rallied around Lozada and dissed Roman in the process.
“I am so disgusted with @tamiroman this season … so much so that I am actually starting to like the new @jackiechristie 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.”
“You are and always would be a survivor, keep the faith and block all the negative 👎🏼 people out… #tamiroman messy arse.”
“Tami sitting back acting like she revived all while she’s messy as f—. Ghetto ass had some nerve. Somebody need to wack her ass SMDH.”
