‘Yikes’: Tami Roman Speaks Out About Ditching ‘Basketball Wives’ Reunion, Fans Chime In

Tami Roman is speaking out on reports she ditched the season 8 reunion of “Basketball Wives” but has now appeared to have had second thoughts.

Roman was reportedly one of two cast members on the VH1 reality show to skip the reunion, the other being CeCe Gutierrez. A report emerged Monday from the Jasmine Brand which claimed sources told the website the two women did not show up to the filming, which took place over the weekend. Meanwhile, former newbie Ogom “O.G.” Chijindu was said to be forced into filming in a room separated from the rest of the cast.

By Monday evening, Roman spoke out about the claims on her Instagram page, posting a screenshot of the article and writing in the caption, “I wish everyone well and move on in peace 💯”. She also added the hashtags, #ThatGotOutFast, #AudienceBeOnIt, #NowWhatHappenedWithOG👀 and #Yikes.

Fans poured out with comments backing up Roman for deciding not to attend the filming with Shaunie O’Neal, Jackie Christie, Malaysia PargoEvelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams in tow.

“I don’t blame you.”

“Finally”

“good she got her come back from the show. She needs to move on. muck love she got this.”

“Sometimes people just get tired of everyone else BS👏👏👏”

“Love you Tammy😘🍷🍷🍷keep up the good work.”

The post has now been deleted, but since Roman has appeared in only a handful of episodes this season, her absence from the reunion may not be all that surprising. The most fans have seen of the star was in the season premiere when Roman confirmed that she and longtime boyfriend Reggie Youngblood tied the knot in Las Vegas in August 2018. During the episode, Roman explained her hesitation for letting the world and her cast mates in on her new life as a wife.

“I feel like I don’t really need to disclose that I’m married because I don’t know who will be genuinely happy, who would really care,” she said. “Rather than go through all those emotions and figure out who’s real and who’s not, I’ll just keep the s–t to myself.”

Still, many fans were looking forward to at least seeing Roman at the reunion. Recently, she was asked how many more episodes fans can expect to see her appear in.

“I think I’m in one more episode, then the reunion & that’s a wrap 🤷🏽‍♀️ but you can’t stop watching, it’s still very entertaining,” she said Wednesday.

Now, however, it appears Roman changed her mind about going. It’s a change from when the star at least showed up to season 7’s reunion, although she wound up walking out halfway through it.
