Steve Harvey and Marjorie Harvey are celebrating 12 years of wedded bliss this week, and the couple is living it up.
The talk show host shared a photo posing with his bride of a dozen years to his official Instagram account on June 24.
“Happy anniversary to the chick of my dreams @marjorie_harvey,” Steve captioned the post.
The image led more than 2,000 of his followers to send their well-wishes.
“Happy Anniversary to you both.”
“Happy anniversary to you both. May God continue to bless your commitment.”
“Happy Anniversary!!! You both look FLAWLESS, and may you continue to flourish!!!!๐๐๐๐๐”
“Happy Anniversary to a beautiful couple!!! May God bless you both with MANY more years to come!!! ๐๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐๐บ๐ฝ”
Marjorie herself seemed appreciative of the post as she commented, “I’ll ride with you with no wheels baby ๐๐ฝ๐.”
One comment that followed, however, led the celebrations to briefly pause when the Instagram user accused Marjorie of sticking with her man for his money.
“๐๐๐do it for the bag girl ๐๐” the user said.
Not missing a beat, however, Marjorie replied, “I am the bag.”
The former Marjorie Bridges wed the comedian in a June 24, 2007, ceremony after they had dated for more than a decade. This past year, the couple has managed to weather several rounds of rumors that their union was on the rocks.
A report initially emerged nearly a year ago in July 2018 when Radar Online reported that celebrity momager Kris Jenner was allegedly the cause of Marjorie barrelling toward filing for a $400 million divorce from the “Kings of Comedy” star. The rumor claimed Jenner was getting too close for comfort with Steve during closed-door meetings.
โThere was a huge blowout fight and Marjorie walked out threatening divorce,โ a supposed insider told the outlet at the time. โThereโs no way she was going to put up with Steve hanging around a man-eater like Kris โ especially since heโs proven time and again he canโt be trusted.โ
Then, in 2019, the couple was forced to confront another rumor that they were heading for Splitsville. This time, Radar Online cited an unidentified source claiming it was the “Steve” host who wanted out of the marriage.
Supposedly, part of Steve preparing to call it quits involved his putting four of his Texas properties on the market. Additionally, he was said to have transferred ownership of another property in Texas from his and his wife’s name to solely his own, despite it being typical that consent is needed from both parties for that to happen.
However, the pair firmly nipped those claims in the bud and even spoofed it during a playful video released during the Kentucky Derby in May.
