They say third time’s a charm, and Jim Carrey has recently taken a shot at marriage for the third time.
It took the “Yes Man” actor nearly three decades to jump the broom again.
He first tied the knot with Melissa Womer in 1987, before becoming a household name. They welcomed their daughter, Jane Carrey, 39, before splitting eight years later.
Carrey went on to marry his “Dumb and Dumber” costar Lauren Holly in 1996. That marriage lasted less than two years.
Though he dated several women afterward, Carrey eventually found his way back to the altar. This time, the lucky lady is 32-year-old Min Ah, TMZ reported.
The couple said “I do” during a small wedding ceremony in Los Angeles. Little is known about their relationship, but they were first spotted together in 2022.
That year, Just Jared shared photos of Carrey leaving his friend Judd Apatow’s benefit show in Los Angeles. Paparazzi caught him exiting the venue with Ah.
The couple made their first public appearance together seven months ago at the César Awards in Paris. Carrey was accompanied by Ah, while his daughter, Jane, and her son, Riley Jackson, were also in attendance.
Carrey received an honorary award and mentioned Ah in his acceptance speech.
He said, “Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah.“
The 64-year-old added, “I love you, Min Ah. And finally, thank you to the funniest man I have ever known: my father, Percy Joseph Carrey who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”
Fans responded to the news that Carrey is once again a married man online.
One person supporting their union said, “He kept this quiet good no one’s business as long as he is happy leave him be.”
Another person was shocked at the news and commented, “No way Jim Carrey got married I didn’t see that coming.”
“Wow, Jim Carrey really said plot twist! Wishing them both a lifetime of happiness,” wrote another person who was happy for Carrey.
It’s unclear when the two first started dating or how they even met. However, one thing most of his exes have in common is the large age gap.
His last known girlfriend, Ginger Gonzaga, was 22 years younger than him. The two split in 2019 after dating for less than a year.
Before that, he dated the late Irish makeup artist Cathriona White. White was 23 years younger than Carrey, and the two were in an on-and-off relationship beginning in 2012.
During a break from Carrey in January 2013, White married cameraman Mark Burton in Las Vegas. Though separated from Burton, White rekindled her relationship with Carrey prior to her death by suicide in September 2015 from a prescription drug overdose.
Even the women Carrey dated after his second marriage were younger than him. Renée Zellweger, whom he dated and became engaged to in 1999, was seven years younger. In 2002, he began dating January Jones, who is 16 years his junior.
He had a few brief romances afterward, but his other high-profile relationship was with Jenny McCarthy. She was 11 years younger than Carrey. The two began dating in 2005 and ended their nearly five-year relationship in 2010.
