T.I. recently celebrated his 46th birthday!
The Atlanta rapper got an early start on his birthday celebrations when his wife, Tiny Harris, threw him a party earlier this week.
He joked that his birthday is “very rarely all about” him in the Harris household. One of T.I.’s children made sure to change that with a sweet birthday tribute dedicated entirely to him.
To honor the occasion, his family YouTube series, “Royal Absurdities,” released a recent episode, with his birthday celebration taking over most of the content.
On Sept. 25, T.I.’s second-youngest son, King Harris, paid tribute to his father, celebrating him as a great man and role model.
King reposted a fan-made TikTok that mirrors clips of T.I. raising him as a toddler with footage of King now raising his own son, King Harris Jr.
The video showed T.I. holding King as a toddler, then cut to a clip of King holding his own one-year-old son. Other sequences showed T.I. consoling an emotional King, followed by clips of King picking up his crying son.
Instead of choosing his father’s music, King added Birdman and Lil Wayne’s 2006 song “Like Father, Like Son” to the video, which tugs at fans’ hearts.
But it’s the caption that really stirred up emotions.
“Happy birthday pops man,” King began. “Thanks for the man you raised me to be … plus the father you showed me to be and everything you taught me all the times you helped me and all the times you had my back.”
Pledging to return the favor, he ended the caption with, “IF THE WORLD IS EVER AGAINST YA JUST KNOW IM ON FRONTLINE WIT YA forget my top 5.”
The top five comments come from the third episode of “Royal Absurdities.”
In the video, King asks his father for help with streaming. Instead, the “Let Em Know” rapper sends his son the phone numbers of King’s favorite rappers, including Future, Young Thug, Lil Baby and Lil Durk.
T.I. tells his son, “I sent you the numbers of the people that’s in your top five. They can help you.”
The father-son video and ing’s heartfelt dedication post struck a chord with fans. One person in his comments wrote, “This is so cute . Who cutting onions?”
“This so dope teared a lil bit,” typed another fan who got emotional.
Even King’s mother, Tiny, applauded her son in the comments, writing, ‘Too sweet son!!”
King’s relationship with his father has evolved in recent years. But it wasn’t always this strong, as one fan who said, “All this footage to say your granny raised you! Boy bye.”
Back in October 2023, King dropped a bombshell on the “Open Thoughts” podcast when he opened up about his family dynamic.
He claimed things were very different behind the scenes from the tight-knit family fans saw on their VH1 reality show, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”
‘It’s a lot about that TV show, man, that got people confused,” King told Funny Marco. “Because I live with my Grandma.”
He said his parents would call for him whenever they needed to film the show on weekends. But as soon as filming wrapped, he said he returned to his grandmother’s residence, which he described as being in the hood.
King did not explain why he chose to live at his grandmother’s house during his adolescent years.
However, the very next month, in November, the younger rapper and his parents were involved in a physical altercation at an Atlanta Falcons game.
The incident took place after T.I. challenged King about his claims of growing up with humble beginnings in a suite full of people while on Instagram Live
“King have you ever woke up with a roach on your face,” T.I. asked. King replied no, but later argued that he never grew up with a “silverspoon” in his life.
His parents argued back that he did. Eventually, the disagreement escalated and got physical. It ended with T.I. putting his son in a headlock.
King has since seemingly matured after becoming a father in 2024. His previous stints include arrests, police encounters, and fights at Waffle House.
Since the two made amends, T.I. has also been able to acknowledge the similarities between his younger self and his son.
“King, is just, he remind me of myself before he even knew me. So, I don’t even understand how he get that part of me for real,” he said on the “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony” podcast.
“Like, he really dedicated himself to that part – that era of my life,” T.I. continued. “He hangs out with my homeboys — like the homeboys that I hung out with back like when I was selling dope.”
T.I. said his former friends often tell him that King is just like him. But the rapper insists he never taught his son those traits.
“I don’t know how it happened,” the “Let Em Know” rapper said. “I didn’t pour that into him.”
King may be trying to get right for his own son who turns 2 on November 5.
