Jennifer Williams gave fans some Basketball Wives nostalgia after she uploaded a throwback photo of her younger self standing in front of a garage next to a Mercedes in the driveway with the caption “‘My dad picked me up from school in a Porsche’ [laughing emoji] #TBT #BasketballWives.” The Porsche referenced in the caption appears in the background parked on the right side of the garage.
Williams’ caption brought fans back to remember the infamous food stamps argument she had with former cast mate Tami Roman on the show’s second season in 2011.

The entire food stamps debacle between Roman and Williams began during Roman’s introduction dinner in season 2 of the show. While at dinner, Roman confided that at one point she was on public assistance and stated she received food stamps after her divorce from NBA player ex-husband Kenny Anderson.
Williams admits to never seeing a food stamp in her life, which prompted Roman to feel as though Williams was being insensitive regarding her struggle and found her comment to be callous.
The heat finally reached the ceiling once Williams, along with her bestie at the time, Evelyn Lozada, crashed former cast mate Ashley Walker’s event and Roman decided to confront Williams on her out-of-touch comment.
Defending her misinterpreted comment, Williams suggested, “I’m the b— that when I went to middle school, my father picked me up in a Porsche.”
That comment, along with a few drinks, were enough reasons to prick Roman’s nerves. An intense argument came about within seconds, one so intense it caused Roman to get escorted out of the event and thus started their rocky relationship.
Since then, neither woman has seen eye to eye with the other, and they have always found a way to go at it with each other on and off the show.
