Famed actress Garcelle Beauvais attended the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards Sunday night, June 5. “The Real” co-host looked stunning on the red carpet, wearing a V-neck jumpsuit with mesh and feathery fringes on the pants legs and sleeves. Fans in the comments section gushed over the mother of two’s beauty, but most couldn’t keep their eyes off her purple jumpsuit.
“Pretty face and hair…” wrote one person who mentioned her soft makeup look and straight hairstyle with a middle part.
A second person said, “Not very flattering but imma stick beside her!” And a third individual claimed that the late and legendary “Prince would’ve loved her fit #PurpleReign.”
Many said “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star and her purple jumpsuit brought back memories of Mike Myers‘ character in the popular “Austin Powers” movies. “The International Man of Mystery” was known for wearing purple, blue, and pink velvet suits throughout the film’s most memorable scenes.
“It’s Giving Austin Powers,” wrote one person, while another confirmed, “Austin Powers vibes for sure lol.”
Some even called the 55-year-old “Barney” and referred to her previous roles such as Francesca “Fancy” Monroe in the classic television series “The Jamie Foxx Show.” Others noted what they claimed is her resemblance to Emmy-winning actress, Queen Latifah. Here’s what a few had to say.
“Oh lord. Barney’s, but not the department store.”
“Fancy ain’t fancying. Whose responsible for the look. It’s giving yt glam squad.”
“I need my glasses…thought that was Queen Latifah.”
“She’s so beautiful but she really needs a stylist. I’m sorry.”
“It’s cute for her.”
One person considered Garcelle’s dating history and jokingly came to the conclusion that “Will Smith should’ve stayed with her!”
Following the release of her memoir, “Love Me As I Am,” Garcelle Beauvais began opening up about her brief time dating Will Smith. The two began dating in the late 1990s after his divorce from her “RHOBH” co-star Sheree Zampino. Beauvais called it quits with “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” after noticing how serious he was becoming with his now-wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, back then.
“I was an ingenue. He was single and a TV star, so we went out a couple of times,” she shared during an episode of the “Las Culturistas” podcast in April. “It wasn’t a long-lasting relationship.”
