‘Get Out Early’: Steve Harvey Shares What He Learned from His Stepdaughter Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan’s Breakup

Reports that ‘Hollywood It’ couple Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey broke up over the weekend sent fans and friends of the duo into a frenzy. After months of unconfirmed rumors, Jordan and Harvey made their relationship Instagram official in January 2021.

Fans believed the former lovebirds were headed toward marriage after the “Creed” actor bought a home $12.5 million home in Los Angeles in May.

On Monday, June 6, Lori’s stepfather, Steve Harvey decided to weigh in on the couple’s break-up during “The Steve Harvey Morning Show.” In a clip from that episode, the “Kings of Comedy” star said he feels “fine” about their breakup, adding that “it ain’t change my life none.”

The comedian declared he was “team Lori 1000 percent” and explained the difficultly stars face when trying to maintain a relationship in the public eye. “Its hard to be young and in the limelight and have a successful relationship,” he shared, “as long as everybody can walk away in peace be friends I guess.”

The 65-year-old still views the “Black Panther” star as a “cool guy from what I know…I mean it’s a breakup and I’m pretty sure he’ll be fine. People break up all the time.”

As the father of seven began to reflect on his past relationships, he jokingly stated, “I just wish I could have broke up without the cost factor with it. I got to start learning from my children. Get out early. I waited way too late. I got to figure this out.”

He later added, “Imma have to start breaking up on IG because this going to court is costly.”

Steve Harvey is currently on his third and longest marriage. He was married to his first wife, Marcia Harvey, from 1980 to 1994. He was married to his second wife, Mary Lee Harvey, for nine years until they split in 2005. And this year, he will celebrate 15 years of marriage with his current wife, Marjorie Harvey. The pair have a blended family with seven children from their past and separate relationships and seven grandchildren.
