Folks were stunned over the news that Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey called it quits after dating for one year and a half. Reports of their breakup hit the internet over the weekend and while neither one of them have spoken out about it, a source that claim to be close to both parties have shared a statement.
The source told PEOPLE, “Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken. They still love each other.”
The source continued, “Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time. They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”
The news comes on the heels of the “Creed” actor purchasing a $12.5 million home in the popular Encino community in Los Angeles, California. Outlets began reporting about the luxury home in the end of May. The home reportedly is over 12,300 square feet with eight bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. The house is draped in black with custom wood and marble furnishings, on the inside and out.
Some of the highlights of the “Black Panther” star’s home include a 20-foot-tall wooden front door, a zero-edge pool, an outdoor fire pit, a workout room with a rectangular pool and a separate pool house.
Dirt.com shared more details about Jordan’s home, which is set on about half an acre of land. It has four powder rooms, a three-car garage and a second living room in the basement. There’s also a disappearing wall and an elevator that connects all three floors. The modern-style farmhouse also has a wine room, a white-marble spa, movie theater and a large double-island kitchen.
Rumors of Michael and Lori’s relationship swirled in January 2020. From there, the couple began sharing intimate moments together such as the unforgettable Valentine’s Day the actor planned for the Skn by LH founder where he rented out the Georgia Aquarium for the night.
Some fans of the couple were sad to hear the news of their break up while others had different opinions.
