Tamar Braxton fans are wondering if she may be making more than sweet melodies with the likes of fellow singer Mr. Keith Sweat.
The “Love & War” singer ignited dating rumors on June 5 after the pair performed in Birmingham, Alabama, at the Legacy Arena as part of The R&B Music Experience tour. Other acts included Monica, 112, Ginuwine and Silk.
In an Instagram post shared on Braxton’s account, the vocalist is seen backstage singing an a cappella version of her hit single “Let Me Know,” featuring Future. The 45-year-old says, as she adds a whistling tone, “Let me know.” In addition to the video, Braxton revealed that she would be taking a week off from the tour to spend time with her son, Logan Herbert.
While expressing how healing the act of touring has been for her soul and thanking Sweat — whom she referred to as “Zaddy” in the caption — she said, “I’m taking off a week to take @loganland8 on his birthday/Summer vacation.. but I’ll see y’all Saturday in Greensboro NC… I promise ima wear y’all out like we been doing cause I love y’all so much the road has been so healing for my soul thanks Zaddy @keithsweat.”
As Braxton’s clip began circulating online, fans immediately zoomed in on the star’s “Zaddy” comment. One individual went as far as to mention Sweat’s podcast titled “Sweat Hotel.”
“She called him Zaddy (eye emoji).”
“ZADDDYYY !!!??? TAY TAY what’s tea sis!!?”
“It’s the Zaddy for me.”
“But calling Keith Sweat Zaddy?”
“Zaddy? Excuse me…She got a room key to the Sweat Hotel? She dating Keith sweat now?”
Despite the frenzy Braxton’s comment created on social media, neither party has addressed the situation. This post comes almost a week after the mother of one shared that her son, Logan Herbert, suggested she start dating again.
In a Twitter post shared on May 30, she wrote, “My son woke me up harassing me asking me” don’t you think it’s time for a boyfriend!??”.. “you know you can at least download Tinder” how is an 8yr old going to attack me like that!!.. I’m going back to bed smh.”
