Leon and his mother enjoyed pasta noodles and garlic bread at Antonio’s Trattoria Italian restaurant in the Bronx, New York. He concluded the post with, “Gotta be with #mymom #bonappetit!”

A handful of people in the comments wished Leon a happy birthday, including Cynthia Bailey, his ex and the mother of his daughter, Noelle Robinson. But most were focused on his mother’s youthful appearance. Here’s what they had to say:

“Happy birthday, my friend! You look just like your mom.”

“Oh, you gonna be young forever! Your mom looks so good. Happy Birthday.”

“Mom is gorgeous!”

“Happy Birthday. I see where those good looks come from.”

“What a blessing to enjoy your birthday with your lovely mom!! Happy Birthday!”

Fans were introduced to Leon in Madonna’s controversial “Like A Prayer” video in 1989. He went on to land notable roles in 1990s classics such as “The Five Heartbeats” and “Cool Runnings.” He earned NAACP nominations for Best Actor for his roles as David Ruffin as “The Temptations” and the authorized biography of “Little Richard.” He’s also had roles in series such as HBO’s “Oz,” BET’s “Games People Play,” and Showtime’s “City On a Hill.” Next, Leon will portray a deadly drug dealer in “A Day to Die,” opposite Bruce Willis.
