Thanks to the popular Drop Challenge, women of all ages and backgrounds are showing the world what they are working with to the tune of Beyoncé’s 2014 hit song “Partition.” And now actress Tracee Ellis Ross also is getting in on the action of the TikTok craze. In honor of International Women’s Day, the “Black-ish” star took to social media with three of her gal pals to hilariously attempt the challenge.
She captioned the video, where someone giggled and snickered “I got to pee,” with a message about her “mighty tribe.”
Ellis Ross wrote, “In honor of International Women’s Day, here are some of the women in my tribe. We are strong. We are mighty. We do NOT, however, understand how to do these TikTok challenges. We do, however, know how to do other stuff really well.”
Fans seemed to crack up laughing at the post, drawing just as much joy from their sisterhood, as the ladies did “messing up” the challenge.
One mega-fan said he or she could relate to the silliness of one of the comments, writing, “I’m gonna pee. If tht ain’t me.”
Many noticed that Tracee was not as committed as her sisters.
“Tracee said I’m not getting down any lower.”
“Tracee couldn’t bring it back up, so she had to stop,” wrote another social media user.
Another post read, “Now Tracee you telling me you couldn’t go down a little more.”
One of the reasons the 49-year-old might not have gotten so low in the challenge is because she is currently on an all-time high.
Her hit ABC show, “Black-ish” is in its final season and her rise in celebrity from that show has opened doors for her to do some “other stuff really well.”
One of those things is launching her new hair-care line, Pattern. This venture, she said in an interview with Jimmy Fallon, has taken her 10 years to get off the ground, and Ross is seeing success with the products having made their way to the shelves of stores such as Sephora, Ulta and Target.
