Ciara‘s proved to fans on March 5, how an “annoying baseball mom” she could be by uploading a video of her son Future Wilburn’s reaction following the singer’s team photo request.
In the Instagram story, Wilburn, who wore his Giants little league baseball gear, is seen making a run for it following post-game activities. Things began to go downhill when his mother, Ciara, prompted him to return so she could get an image of Wilburn and his teammates.
Ciara said in the background as the 7-year-old is seen cheering and speeding out of the camera frame, “Team picture; wait. Team picture first.” Wilburn’s demeanor quickly shifted to one of irritation as the “Level Up” vocalist jokingly threatened not to give her son a snow cone because he didn’t follow instructions.
She said, “Oh lawdy, you can’t get no snow cone.” Wilburn responded, as Ciara laughed in the background, “Stop!” He pointed to the constant request for photos as a reason why he was annoyed by his mother’s demand. “You keep asking me, stop.” The clip wrapped up with Wilburn attempting to move the camera.
In addition to the recording, the “Goodies” songstress captioned the post, “I’m that annoying baseball mom.” As Ciara’s video circulated online, many expressed how Wilburn isn’t the only child who acts irritated when asked to take photos following an event.
“These kids really don’t be feeling like it.”
“Fed up with the day like he pay bills.Too adorable!”
“Boys never wants their photo taken or to be recorded.”
“He tired of taking pictures Cici.”
“Extreme sport: Trying to get these kids to take pics.”
Among the previous remarks, others brought up Ciara’s snow cone comment. One wrote, “Not her bribing him with the snow cone.” Another social media user shared a bit of their own experience in writing, ” ‘You can’t get no snow cone.’ I felt that in my spirit … I be like ‘no Fortnite then or take the pic’…. AS A MOM!! @ciara.”
