Porsha Williams took to Instagram on Dec. 19 to blast her ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley after he supposedly commented on her mothering skills to the pair’s 2-year-old daughter Piliar Jhena’.
Williams, and McKinley, who started dating in 2017, broke up two years later after The Original Hot Dog Factory restaurant owner allegedly cheated on the star while she was pregnant. Although he never confirmed those allegations, Mckinley did admit to being unfaithful while Williams was suffering from postpartum depression following the birth of their daughter.
Despite trying to work on their relationship after briefly reuniting, the duo ultimately called it quits. Williams has since moved on and became engaged to businessman Simon Guobadia earlier this year. Both Williams and McKinley appeared to be cordially co-parenting their daughter until the reality star shared a lengthy post throwing shots at her ex.
Although additional details surrounding the incident between Williams and McKinley have yet to be released, “The Pursuit of Porsha” author claimed while filming scenes for her reality show “Porsha’s Family Matters” that he was trying to criticize her mothering abilities.
Williams stated that she is addressing this matter because she wanted fans to know that Pilar was with her in Mexico during the family retreat and is always with her when she travels
She said, “Hey loves, now you all know by now I don’t address too much of what’s happening on the show because I rather you just enjoy what is meant for entertainment! But because of future low-life accusations made by Dennis of me on the show. I want to make it known that yes, my daughter was in Mexico with me as she is majority of the time when I travel as a single mom!”
Williams added despite having the toddler, she wanted to keep her off-camera because she saw how hectic the dynamic would be after attending the “crazy” dinner. The 40-year-old also stated that she and her fiancé stayed an extra week in Mexico to enjoy the rest of their vacation.
“But as you can imagine, after the first dinner, I saw just how crazy it was going to be and chose to keep her off-camera while I was there working on the show. However, we stayed an extra week in Mexico, and as a family, we (My fiancé& I) blended and enjoyed the rest of our vacation.” Williams wrapped up the upload by defending herself and clapping back at those who felt she wasn’t a “good mother.”
She said, “I’m a damn good mother, and I always have my baby girl close no matter what. She is my world and my purpose & for anyone to raise a question against that shame on you and whoever raised you. Ok, I’m done goodnight. Please, guys, keep talking keep tweeting. The show is doing well, and I’m glad you all are entertained.”
While some fans viewed Williams’ post and chose sides, several individuals remained neutral because of the limited information. At the same time, they decided to respond to other parts of her lengthy upload, including the change of her parenting dynamic with McKinley and Williams’ loosely using the term “single mother. “
“I hate what these shows do to families. I’ve never see you and Dennis have to address things like this, publicly anyway which means if there was an issue like this, y’all were able to work it out. It literally always happens once a show comes on. Y’all have had a great go parenting dynamic this entire time. Stay strong on and off the camera for Pilar.”
“Sis you are defending something we haven’t seen yet. I’ll remain neutral and keep watching. Praying for all involved in molding this Beautiful Baby Girl.”
“I’m not sure what was said and it’s really not my concern. However, I have a problem with the constant use of “single mother”. From what we have seen @workwincelebrate is very much apart of his daughter’s life and she knows who her daddy is. Now there are plenty of absent parents out there and they don’t do ANYTHING for their child which makes the other parent a single parent. Before we cry victim here think about your choice of words and actions towards the father of your child.”
McKinley has yet to comment on Williams’ post.
