‘Been Single’: Porsha Williams, Dennis McKinley Update Fans on Their Relationship Status After Being Spotted at Cynthia Bailey’s Wedding

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams and her on-and-off fiancé Dennis McKinley were the topic of conversation over the weekend after they were spotted together at Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill’s wedding celebration.

Despite taking photos together on Oct. 10, fans noticed that the couple were off again after they posted their current relationship statuses on their social media pages. Dennis posted on his Instagram Story “SINGLE ASFK,” while Porsha responded to a fan that asked if she and Dennis were still together after noticing the reality star wearing her engagement ring in a recent post. The mother of one said she’s “been single.”

The former couple repeatedly have suffered relationship woes. During the summer rumors began to circulate that the two had separated after the 39-year-old removed all photos of McKinley from her Instagram page. On Aug. 22 Dennis confirmed the breakup allegations by posting a cryptic message on his Instagram story from the 2016 book “Radical Generosity: Living Right and Loving Others in the Name of Jesus” by Marvin Williams. In the post, he seemingly admitted he was wrong for his past transgressions. “There is no better test of a man’s integrity than his behavior when he is wrong.”

The parents of 1-year-old Pilar Jhena’ Mckinley have documented their relationship troubles in season 12 of “RHOA.” The most damaging clip by far that tested the strength of their relationship happened when Dennis admitted to Porsha that he was unfaithful to her while she was struggling with postpartum depression after giving birth to their daughter. Dennis revealed to the reality star that the depression affected their union.

“Yeah, and after PJ got here, postpartum was very real,” he continued. “We cried together like every night. And that’s not a good enough why, but that’s the why.”

Dennis ultimately apologized and the pair reconciled last year and decided to get engaged again. It is unknown if the couple will get back together, but for now they are co-parenting their daughter.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
