‘Don’t Call The Wrong Name Please’: Steve Harvey Shows Off Fresh Outfit for Miss Universe Competition

Steve Harvey‘s fly fashion has caught fans’ eyes yet again as the comedian prepares to host the Miss Universe pageant for the sixth time.

The “Family Feud” host, who is currently in Abu Dhabi where the competition will take place, looked sharp and stylish in his electric blue suit with an open-collared white shirt underneath, and black dress shoes. Harvey has hosted the pageant every year since 2015 save for the 69th annual ceremony that took place in May.

“3 MORE DAYS UNTIL I HIT THE STAGE TO HOST THE 70TH MISS UNIVERSE [microphone emoji],” he captioned the effortlessly chic pic.

Fans agreed that Harvey’s style was on point in the image, but reminded him to remain focused on more important matters at hand, like correctly announcing this years’ winner after his infamous 2015 flub when he crowned the wrong champion during the same pageant.

“Make sure you read that card 5 times before you call her name! Lol!! [heart emoji][fire emoji][fire emoji]”

“Slow down Unc you killin’ em….[mechanical arm emoji][100 emoji][fire emoji]”

“Don’t call the wrong name please [laughing with tears emoji]”

“Hot steppa [fire emoji]”

Harvey revisited the mortifying experience earlier this year during a visit with Kevin Hart on his podcast “Comedy Gold Minds” and said that he regretted having to take the bullet for the mistake, which wasn’t his fault but instead the result of a last-minute change of production plans. “I knew it was bad when it happened. … It wasn’t my fault, so, like, I was tripping, man,” he recalled of wrongly announcing that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez had won the competition, instead of actual winner Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach. “Well, I wish I hadn’t took the bullet like I did.”

This year, however, the “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” author is looking forward to running a smooth show and sharing some of the spotlight with his stepdaughter Lori Harvey, who is serving as a member of the selection committee for the competition.

“This is my sixth time hosting the Miss Universe competition, and it is always a highlight of my year. Each show, I’m in awe of the smart, fiery, and talented women who take the stage. I continue to champion this show and participate, not only as a host but as a producer, to show the world what you can do, if you put your mind to it,” he said, adding, “I’m so blessed I get to share this experience with my own daughter this year, who embodies that ideal every day.”

The Miss Universe Pageant airs Sunday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. ET on Fox.
