Yandy Smith-Harris and Mendeecees Harris are what fans considered the epitome of the saying the couple that dances horribly together stays together.
The pair put their rhythmic abilities on display on Monday, Aug. 23, after uploading a new video showcasing their best moves. In the initial clip, Smith-Harris is seen teaching her husband some dances to a new unidentified TikTok challenge. The couple attempts to do arm and leg movements as Harris’ patience wears thin throughout the entire clip.
Smith-Harris begins instructing the music producer the first half of the dance, which included the star forcefully moving each elbow from left to right, then up and down while popping her chest. The father of four tried to mimic the “Love & Hip Hop” star when she stated, “it’s all about the energy. You gotta boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.” The recording continues with Harris trying to nail that specific dance down as Smith-Harris transitions to the Bart Simpson. When she visibly saw her husband getting frustrated about not being able to do the dance, the reality star then tried to simplify it with the wop. The wop is a 1980s dance that involves an individual bending their body and arms to their waist as they swing back and forth in unison. The initial video shared on Smith-Harris’ page ultimately ended with the couple not completing the task at hand.
Smith-Harris revealed to her fans in the caption that the sole reason why the pair joined together was to help “introduce” her newly released men’s line to her skincare brand Yelle. She also shared this clip helped followers see a different “funny” side of Harris that he normally doesn’t display in public.
As the video began circulating on social media, many people voiced how hilarious it was to see the couple dance with no “rhythm,” while others poked fun at Harris.
“Not HER teaching HIM when someone has to teach Her😂😂.”
“They both have no rhythm.”
“I’m hollering at least he trying 😂😂😂😂😂.”
“That man stiff as hell chile 😂😂😂.”
This isn’t the first time Smith-Harris found herself being criticized by the public for doing what they deemed were horrid dance moves. Earlier this month, the reality star was inspired to try the “Breakfast Challenge,” a viral routine recently performed by Joie Chavis and her daughter Shai Moss. The initial dance imitates the sound of utensils and specific ingredients that are used to make an omelette.
