Jaylan Banks confirmed his relationship with former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta“ star Falynn Guobadia on Saturday, July 17, by sharing a snapshot of the two hugging alongside a sentimental post.
This announcement comes a month after Simon Guobadia accused his estranged wife, Falynn, of being pregnant by Banks following her tell-all interview clip, which the 57-year-old reposted on his respective Instagram account.
He said in the lengthy caption, “The Face of Cheating Wife… Let’s start with why I filed for divorce. Let’s start with who she cheated with and currently pregnant for and living in a home I paid for – post-divorce. His Instagram handle is itsjaylanbanks, and this is how your generosity gets twisted. Let’s get started there.”
Banks’ initial relationship post said, “A man is truly a man when he earns the respect of a good woman and keeps her trust.” Immediately after his upload, the self-proclaimed Atlanta entrepreneur are reportedly former personal assistant to Falynn defended his seemingly newfound connection with Falynn in his comments section. He wrote, “I don’t need approval from anyone on what I do in MY LIFE. We were best friends at first. That being said I picked up where a man left off. I’m happy and she’s happy. That’s it.”
When the news started spreading like wildfire on social media blogs, everyone, including Simon Guobadia’s fiancé, Falynn’s former friend, and former ‘RHOA’ castmate Porsha Williams, expressed their initial reaction.
Williams’ sent her approval — which could also be viewed as shade from others knowing the two women’s history — by saying “awe❤️” underneath “The Shade Room’s” comments section following their coverage of Banks and Falynn’s relationship announcement.
Many fans who have kept up with this debacle expressed how Falynn and Banks’ relationship was already discovered prior to the confirmation post. One Instagram user went as far as to say that although the entire situation on both sides is incredibly “messy,” Falynn and Simon should just move on and “stop attacking one another publicly.”

Falynn and Simon announced their split in April after a year-and-a-half of marriage by sharing the news through their respective social media accounts. The mother of three wrote in a now-deleted Instagram story, “After two years of marriage and 5 years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways. We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children.”
She added, “This mutual decision was not made lightly, and despite our current willingness to be transparent, we only ask our friends and supporters to be respectful of our privacy as our family gets through this very difficult period. I would like to say thank to all of my supporters who have shown a great deal of love for our family. You all do not go unnoticed.”
At the same time, Simon reiterated similar sentiments about the former couple wanting privacy as they go through divorce proceedings by saying, “After a year and a half together, Falynn and I have made the mutual decision to end our marriage. Despite our willingness to be transparent, we respectfully ask for privacy at this time. Thank you.”
Both Falynn and Simon have children from previous relationships.
