Masika Kalysha is officially off the market and showing fans that her man, Jamar Champ, knows his way around the jewelry store by showing off her massive engagement ring during their lavish engagement party.
The reality TV star confirmed that she said yes to her longtime friend turned lover in December 2020, and hasn’t been shy about flaunting her carats since going public with the big news. The pair threw a swanky affair to celebrate their love with family and friends in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Champ, an entrepreneur who shares Masika’s passion for investing, planned the event, which Kalysha described as “a dream.” He surprised his bride-to-be by pulling out all the stops, including giving his soon-to-be-stepdaughter, Khari, a small diamond ring of her own, which he put on a necklace. The “fairytale” weekend only made the “Love & Hip-Hop” star more excited for their wedding day.
“I don’t share my personal feelings or private life on these apps, but there’s no way I can let this moment pass. This weekend was a dream,” Kalysha shared in her Instagram post of images from the special day. “@1of1champ thank you for making my dreams come true. You spared no expense and didn’t miss one detail. I felt like I was walking into a fairytale. It was as if you took a peek into my princess fantasies as a little girl, and manifested every thing I’ve ever imagined. I can’t get over how beautiful everything was.”
“If this was the engagement party I can only imagine how the wedding will be 😩,” she continued to gush. “Getting a ring for my baby almost made me ruin my makeup. Thank you for the role you have taken in me and KB’s lives. You are more than a man. You are a King. You are my King. I love you to the moon and back 👑”
The model admitted that she made Champ work for her affection, revealing that she “curved” him for almost 10 years. “Met my fiancé 10 years ago,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Curved him for 97% of those 10 years. Been dating for 4 months. He asked me to marry him 4 days ago. Last night I asked him what made you so sure after only 4 months of dating? He said I knew 10 years ago, on the day I met you that I was gonna marry u.”
Fans were thrilled to see that Masika has found her Prince Charming and made sure to give props to her Champ for making sure not to leave her daughter Khari out of the sweet festivities.
