Wendy Williams Dropped 25 Pounds and Is Ready to Use Her Show to Find a Man

Wendy Williams is feeling fabulous and ready to get back into the dating game thanks to her 25-pound weight loss.

After taking time off from filming the “Wendy@Home” format of her series since May due to fatigue caused by her Graves disease symptoms, the 56-year-old gossip queen resumed her reign on her live set on Sept. 21.

With a limited live audience and virtual audience tuned in, Williams recapped what she’d been up to during her time off including addressing her smaller physique, which she said was the result of being “done with food.”

Beginning at 11:07, Williams admits she does “need the comfort of a man” and explains that her desire to date has only been intensified now that she’s looking fine and back on the air. She also told her audience that she’s not above using her show to find a man.

“I am using the show to fish…I mean, I’m doing this show for you, and for me and for everybody around here, but in the back of my mind I’m always wondering, ‘I hope he’s watching,’ ” she said. “I hope he’ll call.”

She then exclaimed, “I mean, I’ve lost 25 pounds!” She went on to point out that she looks too good to let it go to waste.

As a collage of her food pics was displayed behind her, Williams explained that the weight loss came from a sudden change in eating habits. “Look, and I didn’t do it on purpose; it’s just that food became disgusting to me,” she said. “I was cooking at first and it was all good. I was shoveling stuff in my mouth. I’m going out to eat. Everything from hot dogs to lobster, king crab legs, all that stuff,” she continued, “but then it became like I’m done with food.”

Williams hadn’t even realized how much weight she’d lost until she visited her doctor for a colonoscopy. She didn’t share her actual weight, but she did remark that this is the lowest her weight has been since high school.

“Then I got my colonoscopy. TMI? Okay, look, TMI, maybe,” she admitted. “But, you know, take care of your health. I got my colonoscopy over quarantine and she asked me to get on a scale before they put me under… and she told me the weight and I was like, ‘I haven’t weighed this little since high school.’ “

Now that she has her health in order, the TV personality is ready to get her love life together as well. “So I feel really good! I’m just alone in my romance.”

During a recent chat with Seth Meyers, Williams revealed that she’d attempted to date while sheltering in place because of COVID-19, but quickly lost interest the longer the pandemic continued. “For the first two months, it was easy, March and April. You know date, have fun, do stuff. Shake it and shimmy,” but went on to explain that “by April, May, June, July, August, September. Five months I’m like … don’t come over here.”

Williams told her fans not to worry, however. The host is confident that she won’t be single for long and that her next man “could be watching right now.”
