Reginae Carter is clearly a carbon copy of her mother Toya Johnson.
The 21-year-old young actress posted a family portrait of herself, her 2-year-old sister Reign Rushing and Johnson to Instagram on Tuesday, June 30. The ladies appeared to be vacationing in Fort Gaines, Georgia, according to her mother’s recent IG post.
The image showed Carter, baby Reign and Johnson posing in blue attire for an impromptu family photo. Carter wore a blue tie-dye dress, while her sister and mother sported denim getup.
“Giving you the bluesssss🦋💙,” Carter captioned the photo.
Carter’s family portrait gained over 235,000 likes from her Instagram followers. However, several fans had a tough time differentiating Carter from Johnson due to their strong resemblance.
“Who the mama,” a fan quipped while another said, “U look Sooooo Pretty!🔥I had to zoom n I ain’t know who the momma was 😂 pretty and prettier.”
Someone else wrote, “She looks just like her mom!” Another user followed up behind her comment and wrote, “Nah they giving twins not mom and daughter 😍.”
Johnson also re-posted the photo of herself and her daughters on her page, adding in the caption “My greatest blessings call me mommy.” 💙💙”
Carter, Johnson and baby Reign visited Fort Gaines, Georgia, apparently this past weekend to get a glimpse of where Johnson’s fiancé Robert “Red” Rushing is from.
“Daddy took us on a tour of his home town yesterday. #fortgainesga,”Johnson wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, July 1.
Johnson and Rushing got engaged in November and are slated to walk down the aisle soon. Before the 2 Comma’s clothing brand owner proposed to the mother of two, he asked Carter for her blessing.
A few days before her mother’s posts regarding the Georgia trip, Carter reflected through a heartfelt Instagram post on the romantic proposal between Rushing and Johnson.
“Crying again !! I’m so happy for you guys ! This is just the beginning!” Carter wrote on Monday, June 29. “My mom always told me people come into your life and you guys are suppose to water each other and grow and that’s exactly what you guys did ! Keep black love alive🥰 #rushingdowntheaisle.”
