The “Love and Hip Hop New York” star posted a recent snap of himself sitting on a park bench in sneakers, a pair of black shorts and a shirt that was plastered with the words “Retired Hot Boy.” Harris posed with a straight face as his 7-year-old son Omere Harris captured the photo.

While many of the reality star’s IG followers commented on his “handsome” appearance, there were others who spotted an ankle bracelet wrapped around his right leg.
“That damn ankle monitor I hated that s–t especially during the summer 😒,” one fan wrote underneath Mendeecees’ post. Another followed up with, “Welcome home bro yooo when do you get that ankle bracelet off?”
“😷 damn bro I really hate they got that ankle monitor on you like a dog,” another person said. “Damn I hope you get that ankle bracelet off bro,” commented another person.
Mendeecees served four years in prison after he was convicted of drug trafficking in 2015.
The music producer reportedly shipped cocaine and heroin from New York City to Rochester, New York, between 2006 an 2008. He took a plea deal and started serving his sentence in January 2016. He was already credited with serving 15 months behind bars when he was officially released on Jan. 29.
The Bureau of Prisons stated that Mendeecees would be released from prison in October 2020, but he was released nine months before the date. He is currently listed by the Bureau of Prisons as living in a halfway house in Brooklyn.
The father of four and his wife Yandy Smith-Harris announced the good news via Instagram to their fans. In a Feb. 5 post, Mendeecees wrote a touching message to his IG followers about how happy he was to be home with his wife and two kids.
“Having a place to go is a home. Having someone to love 💕 is a family. Having both is a BLESSING,” said Mendeecees. ” Family is everything. Thank u for all of y’all welcomes.. they’re really appreciated and it doesn’t go unnoticed!!”
