“Love & Hip Hop: New York” reality star Yandy Smith–Harris has been enjoying life with her husband Mendeecees Harris since his release from prison in January.
The couple share two kids, Omere and Skylar Harris, and Smith’s adopted daughter Infinity Gilyard. Harris and Smith enjoyed some family time while self-isolating earlier in the week.
The couple and their kids competed with each other by seeing who could stay in a pushup position the longest.
“Competition on swoll!!! We are a competitive family over here 😩😂,” Smith-Harris captioned the video.
“Y’all know I’m strong, I didn’t want to embarrass you @mendeecees but next time I will be forced to trash you! @therealinfiniti_ you know you gotta get back in the gym or your hoop game gonna de different at that college👏🏾😌❤️,” she added.
In the video, fans can hear the mother count down to the competition. Gilyard then told Smith-Harris, “Get that butt down Ma, don’t be cheating over there.”
“Don’t worry about what I’m doing,” was the swift reply.
Smith-Harris and Harris coached their children during the competition, encouraging them to stay in the pushup position.
However, some fans believed that Harris cheated when it was just him and Smith-Harris left, because he kept putting his head down and putting his butt in the air.
“Mndc was cheating! Lol.”
“He cheated; he wasn’t low enough.”
“Mendecee was cheating; he was doing the downward dog pose 😂 Yandys plank game is on point lol.”
“Mendecee was not doing a plank…him and Skylar was doing the same move😂😂😂😂😂😂.”
“Mendeecees cheated when he moved 5 million times. 😂😂 Beautiful family!”
“That guy is not even low.”
“Lmaooo if he went as low as u and didn’t move, he would’ve been out before you Yandi… big up to the sis. She been workin hard for that body 🤣❤️ @yandysmith @mendeecees.”
“His butt was in the air.”
Harris, however, did have some fans backing him and saying he won.
“Menderceess won that omg planks I do them every day in my workouts @yandysmith.”
“So cute! Y’all knew y’all had no business competing against Mendeecees tho 😭.”
“I knew he would win 😂😂😂😂😂😂.”
“Ion gotta watch this. Your husband won.”
Harris seems to be enjoying life free and as a family man.
His and his wife’s ups and downs were broadcast on the VH1 show, but things came to a halt when Harris was sentenced to eight years in federal prison for drug trafficking in late 2015. However, he only served four of the eight years before being released in January.
Before he got out, Smith-Harris had concerns about her husband’s release because New York law prohibits felony convicts from living in the same home as a foster child. In this case, Harris clearly is spending time in the household with Gilyard.
From Smith’s post, everything seems to be working out just fine. Harris also wrote a heartfelt message about being with his family following his release.
“Having a place to go is a home. Having someone to love 💕 is a family,” Harris wrote on Feb.5.
“Having both is a BLESSING. Family is everything. Thank u for all of y’all welcomes.. they’re really appreciated, and it doesn’t go unnoticed!! 🙏🏽.”
Harris is also the father to Mendeecees Jr. and Aasim Harris from two previous relationships.
